Haven't seen one like that... is there something special with your soil? The thickness of the slab on that side was a council requirement - the original plan had a retaining wall all along there, but council required a dropped edge beam instead and another $2,000 later - voila! Did the builder suggest an alternative to using the vast amount of concrete - say a timber or steel framed floor on stumps with either a timber or hebel floor above? I know a lot of builders will insist on using a concrete slab on ground despite the slope of the land. Re: Our grey pride and joy! You must be so proud....it,s a lovely looking slab I can,t wait until ours arrives....it,s taking such a long time but hopefully once the slab is down things will move along quickly...
