For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 22Apr 23, 2012 3:19 pm Just not as much as EBH so the internet suggest and the story on the 7.30 Report wasnt really impressive made me a bit nervous about building with them. Hopfully things will improve Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 23Apr 23, 2012 5:16 pm Woah! What story on the 7.30 Report was that? So - you've only really had problems after council approval? Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 24Apr 24, 2012 8:28 am A single mother had built her home with EBH and had massive problems with the roof leaking and they would not fix the problem until the media got involved. Yes we had a good run until the council approval then things hit a giant brick wall which we have been breaking down ever since. We have our construction meeting coming up soon so fingers crossed things will improve Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 25Apr 24, 2012 9:45 am mmmm... wish I could find that one to watch. Was that ABC 7.30 Report? Just fiddling around at the moment - perfecting plans.... sigh.. Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 26Apr 24, 2012 9:51 am Yeah i think it was the ABC...... Plans that's the fun bit what style are you building ? Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 27Apr 24, 2012 1:58 pm mmmm... I'll keep searching for the program but can't seem to find it. You do have to be on the ball to make sure nothing crappy goes into your plans though Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 28Apr 29, 2012 7:24 am wow what an experience you guys have had so far....feel it for you guys... my plans are with development at the moment and i'll be getting an update from them later this coming week to see what the G.O is. My PCV's have been coming back to me quite quickly, some within a few days and the changes made during the colour upgrade was a little more longer (2-3 weeks). I keep on talking to my consultant every few days to keep the relationship going and it seems to be working well...so i'd recommend others doing the same... upgrades and extras are $$$ through the builder, but thats how they make alot of their money...either you get it or you don't (thats what i think)....and get the rest done post handover.. Good luck guys... _________________ Building with EBH - Saville 30 @ The Ponds Building Blog - http://rabsndee.blogspot.com 22/08 - Slab Done 07/09 - Frames 16/09 - Roof 02/10 - Bricks 26/10 - Lockup 17/01 - Settlement Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 29Apr 30, 2012 8:36 am Thanks for the comments as mentioned we also had a fairly good run until after the DA was approved and it went down hill from there. The ponds is a really nice area from the pictures hope all goes well and keep us updated..... Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 30Jul 06, 2012 8:00 pm KristyMichael8879 - how are you going now? What stage are you up to? Just wondering cause we are thinking of going with Eden Brae? Built a Hawthorne 31 with EB nessjeffdreamhouse.blogspot.com.au Building an investment now with New Living homes... We are at nearly finished... Just landscaping and driveway to go! Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 31Jul 16, 2012 10:49 am We are currently up to almost lock up stage and the workman ship on site has been really good but the admin at Thornton are disgraceful and i hope to never deal with them again they just go out of there way to try and extract as much money from you as possible. If my customer service officer at Eden Brae told me the sky was blue i would be looking outside to double check have been putting up with ****** at every stage of my build and cause i stand up to them that makes them worse. If i had my time again i would have went with another builder. My Rating for Eden Brae ..... On-Ste ******** 8 Stars Contractors good work quality Administrations and contractual - minus 10 Stars poor and never again will i ever deal with them, if i tried half the stuff they have i would have been locked in jail for a few years...... Re: Eden Brae - Hayman 32Jul 19, 2012 10:18 am I am glad your build has been quite smooth and congratulations at nearly being at lock up. I have found the process so far good. The salesman at my display home has been completely upfront about additional costs, and we have been extremely greatful as the previous builder that we got a tender for kept on adding cost after cost... we also deal with the Baulkham Hills office if that makes a difference. Would love to see some pics of your house build if you have them available! Built a Hawthorne 31 with EB nessjeffdreamhouse.blogspot.com.au Building an investment now with New Living homes...
