Their job tends to go sloppy. The one funny thing was they've installed THREE rainwater taps on the Granny. Can you believe it? They just installed extra gas bayonet for free. So I shouldn't complain too much. Also they haven't properly put the soil back for the stormwater pipe on the nature strip so I had to pay extra $165 to renew the open road permit. The council guy said he couldn't believe how the spot has been left like such condition for months. When I looked at other two building site on my street, those areas were properly covered with soil. Anyway, I hope the plumber will fix it soon. I'm enjoying the ultra fast internet speed. We have the electrician setup Cat6 data points. Then I hooked them with a 16 ports Gigabit switch. I then purchased three wifi routers to cover the house and granny with strong wifi channels. Matt P mentioned they were getting some more plumbers to help with work load. And painters. OFH - I still stand by my words that for us plumbers had most problems, but I should also add that all our problems did get resolved. I think the key is how builders deal with problems. Zen also have a 12 month maintenance period, whereas most builders only have 3 months. Agree T, all our issues were fixed extremely quickly and without any fuss. Yeah, a couple of guys arrived at my home this morning. They moved the rainwater tank and started cutting the concrete to access the broken pipe. Lots of noise and smoke are from the spot.. They are still working on the sewage pipe, I hope they finish it soon. Re: Apue's home building 396Jan 25, 2013 3:37 pm our forever home Hello Apue, have your broken piples/plumbing issues been fixed to your satisfaction? They had to cut concrete slab under rainwater tank. The blocking issue due to the concrete guy squashed a pipe when concrete was poured. The Plumber promptly replaced the broken pipe but Zen needs to restore the concrete and restore the rainwater tank. I hope they can come to my house soon. From last week, things are getting fixed such as tiles, plumbing and hand rails that we ordered. The certifier visited my home yesterday and told me he'll issue the IOC ! Basically we've finished most of things except turf. If we complete putting turf we'll get the full OC. So, in short, I'm very happy with what Zen does to me and thank greatly to Matt P. My neighbour opposite to my house are still waiting for the house completed. They said they could move in by end of Feb made complaints to Eden. So Eden started 1.5 months earlier us so Eden takes 3.5 months longer than what Zen did for my house, let alone Zen had built two dwellings.
