It is all very exciting and nerve wracking at the same time Re: Deciding on builder 23Apr 22, 2012 5:50 pm SunshineT Ally - well said! My apologies if I caused any offense on my comments on Mandurah. You right - a place depends on the people living there and their needs (some people need to go out, others prefer to stay with family at home). We are like you in the latter category! Yes, DP and I are antisocial homebodies too - my home (will be) my castle! and it's okay, no offense taken. I hear a lot about people thinking Mandurah is just a bogan town and true, few parts of it are (just like lots of other towns as well to be fair) but to me it's been my home for my entire 26 years and I know it so well and have seen it grow, I think it'd be hard for me to leave when/if the day comes! caz_770 I think you'll be in good company too, with daveandally1 for neighbours. Awh, thanks Caz I'm blushing. You also make excellent points about the future MyhouseinOz, Meadow Springs is lovely. They have lots of parks and family areas, and the new Quarry Adventure Playground is AWESOME. Our house is within walking distance of three parks, a public BBQ area, three schools and a small shopping centre. Good luck with your decision! Re: Deciding on builder 24Apr 23, 2012 3:41 am So I went to Meadow Springs yesterday and went to see the lots that on paper looked perfect... Most of the block is empty lots at the moment and across the street where is classed as "future residential" there are two mountains of rock and dirt which I am guessing will be there for a long time. My concern is that I will be leaving on my own and I don't like the idea of start living in an almost empty street- wouldn't feel safe. I know eventually it will fill up, but def. something I need to consider. So now I am basically at square one. Need to look at other lots in M S, but also now considering Bridgewarer state in Erskine. Any comments as to the main differences between these two general areas? Any comment will be greatly appreciated!!! Re: Deciding on builder 25Apr 24, 2012 11:13 pm Hey myhouseinOz, I have a feeling you'll be almost in my street.... I'm in that 'empty' section across the street from the piles of rock and dirt! Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget. The benefit is you can tender the project out… 9 20754 The HIA contract, in the term & conditions section states that "Commencment" is deemed when the drainage is started or the piers are dug or the slab is formed up (incase… 2 6249 |
