Thanks everyone.
Still have a key to get in (actually have 2 now, but that is another story)
Getting the slab-ends & kickers cut short was an idea I gleamed off H1. Ditto leaving the skirting boards off until after the floor goes in.
We were asked at selection meeting if we wanted the skirts tacked on. We then employ the carpenter to come back & re-fit the skirts. approx $350 to $450. I'm happy to do this as there will be some work getting the boards lined up in some places.
We are probably going with "Coffee" coloured Bamboo flooring, the "Natural" is a bit light for the other colours we have - I just got some left-over planks from the carpet shop to use for heights of sliding door, slab-ends, kickers etc.
We don't want to be in before Xmas - got a house to clean-up & get on the market first!
Now we are trying to choose a splashback colour to suit. Thinking of a Metallic brown, but not too dark, or maybe silver/grey, any suggestions?
