Great looking slab and very good news on the frame arriving. They'll easily have that up before Christmas. You live in a beautiful part of the world. The background of all your photos is amazing, and great space between your neighbours too. I wouldn't be telling anyone where you are either! I think they left not too long after lunchtime, and the frame was 90% complete when we checked it out this afternoon. It was petty special walking onto our porch and through our front door and seeing the view from our windows for the first time LOVING the height of our 2740 ceilings and was also really surprised at how big all the windows seem! First thoughts are that the bedrooms do seem quite modest, but the living areas are huge. That is exactly what we thought looking at the display home and it suits how we live our lives, so no concerns there from me. I'm so thrilled with this progress! Less than a week ago all we had was a house pad with some drainage! Tuesday form work, Wednesday Slab, Thursday frames delivered and Saturday frames 90% erected. Hi Ribbon, we've got a pipe in the wall on our build. I spotted this as an extra pipe while they were doing the initial slab plumbing and thought perhaps they'd made a mistake and put in one pipe too many. Our SS advised me that it's legit and will actually be plumbed through the wall into the roof, for a vent pipe. Perhaps yours is similar? But that doesn't explain why you'd have two pipes under/just under the frame. As a comparison, here's what ours looks like... As for your views, it sure is going to be hard work putting up with that everyday... just beautiful! The plumbing seems strange to me to... Could it be to run electrical cables even tho that seems strange too... what's going against that wall? The vanity isn't wall hung, and I don't think the pipes are for electrical. It sounds like Thattime might be on the money and that it isn't a mistake - one could be the drainage for our vanity and one could be a vent to go up through the wall. When I saw two pipes there I assumed it was one for each of the two sinks, but on second thought that is a little unnecessary! Hubby has been chatting with our SS this morning. Our tentative schedule from here is looking like this: Frames / trusses to be finished this week. Christmas break. Roofing scheduled to start around 14th-15th January. Windows scheduled to be delivered 25th January - apparently a delay with these because we have ordered a non-standard colour. Bricking scheduled for late January early February (held up waiting for windows). My guess is we will be locked up mid February Tender /1/12 Contract 14/6/12 Planning 12/10/12 Site 23/10/12 Piers 27/11/12 Slab 12/12/12 Frame 15/12/12 Trusses 17/1/13 Roof 24/1/13 Bricks 13/2/13 Plaster 1/3/13 Re: Our Sekisui House Meridian - Frame going up already!! 37Dec 29, 2012 3:00 pm Stalking, stalking..... hoping to hear some baby news very soon.
