I love my bigpond service (I know seriously.... telstra...but credit where credits due) it is now up and running.. woot woot.. Thank god life was horrid with limited adsl. And what a huge difference adsl 2 makes.. Finally my mobile is working properly too, how hard life is when one cannot check ones email while at work. How inconvenient it was waiting until i came home.. It was like being stuck in the dark ages.. Bah ha ha h.. Any way enough tech talk... Apologies in advance.... I am so excited.. yay, our home will have walls soon.... I Stalked some display homes today to try and gain some extra ideas for furnishing and finishes but omg so many nice things and on our way home, as requested by my neighbour-2-be (who happily accompanied me on my outing today),we called in and visited Redink's Geneva display... Its been a good few months since my last Redink fix so Im sure i dont quite fit the stalker catergory ... A big "HI" to Marc our sales and design consultant. (Legend) Who just happened to mention he visits the forum during our brief and enjoyable visit.. !!!! EEEEKKKK !!!! - but what a dag I am, the first thing that came to mind was my varied and plentiful spelling mistakes... Bah ha ha ha, Im a geek from way back.. tsk tsk, tee hee hee. Anyway I am off to visit you all and leave some post.. Cheers Chelle xxoo Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 132Mar 10, 2013 11:52 pm ConTAPulations Erin... Loving the news. hmmm the 5 finger discount is sounding possible i know many went walkies when they were first installed in our street.. its the copper ... I will probably take you up on your native plant info and instruction, i think that will be the way we will be going.. ps loved that keen eye of yours on munchy's pic.. i thought weeds.. tee hee hee... I think our next steps after the tap install were - sand pad, power box and mesh drop off. However we are still awaiting our internal doors have sliders and windows, our front and laundry door frames, but no internal frames as yet.. so exciting.. Im glad to see things progressing, itll be poured and bricked in no time. Cant wait to follow your build.. Good luck cheers chelle xxoo Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 133Mar 11, 2013 1:06 am the floorplan is a beast, that is huge!!! how big is the total living area? 7.5M Dual Frontage terrace @ lightsview SA /viewtopic.php?f=31&t=58754 moved in - April 2014 furnitured - August 2014 home theatre - September 2014 Game room - December 2013 moved in - 09 April 2014 Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 134Mar 11, 2013 9:47 pm Hi frozenkuku, I've looked at your post and wow what a great home you're building. My lifestyle is only 306sqm yours i believe is several sqm larger (30 odd) Tee hee hee im not sure what erins sqm is for her home i think ours are close in size. Its so ineresting to see how others build, the homes in your estate look very very nice and huge ... Good luck with your build i look forward to watching it emerge .. SITE UPDATE : Today the internal door frames arrived all 17of them woot woot slow and steady chelle xxooo Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 135Mar 11, 2013 11:45 pm thx dawesrus long terrace always looks small, my doesn't look big, so i was surprise mine is around 340m2 i guess lots of spaces are wasted due to the necessary corridor path. i thought yours is around 450~550m2. Square block is always the best. all the spaces can be utilized max. 7.5M Dual Frontage terrace @ lightsview SA /viewtopic.php?f=31&t=58754 moved in - April 2014 furnitured - August 2014 home theatre - September 2014 Game room - December 2013 moved in - 09 April 2014 Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 136Mar 11, 2013 11:50 pm Sorry frozenkuku, the block itslef is 586 sqm the house is 306 :0) Re: lifestyle 300.. slab pics :) 137Mar 12, 2013 9:29 am Hey Chelle, Loving the slab pics. Not long now and the brickies will start! Definitely living vicariously through you now! haha! Might ring water corp and see what they have to say about the tap - the only other thing I can think is that they might have left it off because there was still 3 weeks left until building license approval. (Copper theory makes more sense though!) My floor plan is slightly smaller than yours, mine is 300.8m2 - block is 658m2. Yeah, any thing you want to know about natives - well - anything about gardening really - whats the point in doing a trade and not sharing the knowledge!!! I think there is another guy on the forum - fumanchu - he seems to be pretty knowledgable about landscaping and plants as well. I'm a little biased, but natives are just easy - and there are some really pretty ones out there. They aren't the stereotypical scrappy varieties that people think they still are. The Running Postman next to Munchies tap has a beautiful red pea flower with an orange/yellow throat. We still have 10 working days until the building license application goes through, so looking forward to seeing a little more progress on your build in the mean time!! Fingers crossed.
