Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Redink lifestyle 300 + 1 101Jan 19, 2013 11:48 am Loving the plan munchy, They have so many nice plans and displays its great to be able to add and alterit truely becomes yours then.Love the selection your home will be gorgeous. actually i dont think i have seen a home this forum that has been less then amazing. We have yet another delay somewhere and some how in the last months kelvin has become kevin on the titles. eeekkkk so now when he flys home he will need to complete a stat dec... And some sad news our spa can no longer be supplied we have to select another.. now just awaiting a price as we want to upgrade the selection from the Novotec Novelli 1700 Regular joy Spa to the deluxe joy spa.. My neighbours to be house is going up wonderfully and i will be off to stalk her build this afternoon as she informs me she now has windows and sliding doors... Erin i know the feeling after working infront of a screen and running after family. I hope everything gets sorted quickly with settlement our developers held us up for about a week. but it all got sorted out we had a great settlement agent who kept us up to date and was always happy to answer my calls or emails. I have actually emailed her in regards to the land title stuff up in hopes she can advise on what action to take... I try comparing our home to others that are being built but they like ours are tweeked too so its so hard to imagine, and the display homes are always gorgeous we fell in love with the display in baldivis i think it was the shiraz mkII but on our original block we couldnt fit in on and the bathroom was a bit uncomfortable then we visited the geneva and loved that too but still too wide so the lifestyle was a compromise. Plus i think we have a much smaller morgtage then if we chose the shiraz.. or geneva . Well darling son number one requires a lift to work so i best log off. Good luck this week to you all. Chelle xxxx oooo Re: Redink lifestyle 300 + 1 102Jan 21, 2013 3:34 pm Thanks Chelle, We had a similar problem as apparently the OSR in WA can't spell either which has pushed our settlement back until tomorrow. Agreed about Redink's display homes the only problem is that it gives you too many ideas of what to upgrade. Seeing the Pacific SW in Bunbury was a rather expensive trip. Our build thread with Redink 11/1 - Prestart 5/4 - Slab 29/4 - Brickwork 27/5 - Roof Cover 20/6 - Lock Up 20/8 - PCI 10/9 - Handover Re: Redink lifestyle 300 + 1 103Jan 21, 2013 9:28 pm Munchy Thanks Chelle, Seeing the Pacific SW in Bunbury was a rather expensive trip. tee hee hee.. I can believe that.. Its amazing how a typo can cause such a pain in the rear. I hope that settlement goes through smoothly tomorrow. I am eagerly awaiting my next email from redink explaining the expected time frame and additional cost of our preferred spa bath... I read on another post scheduling is the eye of the storm. I hope so... and i hpe it passes quickly... Cheers Chelle Re: Redink lifestyle 300 + 1 104Jan 28, 2013 2:02 pm Hi all guess what ........ our block has been cleared and in addition to our water meter we now have the metal mesh for the slab work and we have a beautiful redink power box... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It so nice to see stuff happening. Tuesday a contact at redink said no start dates available. Was very surprised on thursday when my gorgeous neighbour-to-be txt me a stalk update... That's so great Chelle. Congrats! We have a tentative settlement date for this Thursday, but we have had many of those over the past weeks so not holding my breath! (though any progress is good progress and it's better than where we were sitting a week ago!) Anyway... back to your news... Your block looks wonderful and neat! Not long now and the slab will be poured! How exciting! Keep posting those pics! I'm living vicariously through you at the moment! Talk soon. Erin Re: Lifestyle 300 has its block cleared :) 106Jan 29, 2013 11:49 am Morning Erin. Crossing everything and for thursday. Hope settlement is a success. I Have politley bugged redink this morning in regards to compaction of pad, as some houses have had very little (one was just hosed down) on this estate. Has anyone seen this before? Well lots to do ( DH may have broken ankle... ) I will check and stalk you'll this afternoon. Cheers Chelle xxoo Re: Lifestyle 300 has its block cleared :) 107Jan 30, 2013 10:12 pm Ok another question for the forum. Hi have just received the addenda for the replacement spa and also noted is the following amendment : H2 pine in lieu of MGP10 seasoned pine Can anyone offer some insight into this change? is it an improvement of just t-it for tat. any advice appreciated cheers chelle Re: H2 pine vs MGP10 ? Advice pls ?? 108Jan 30, 2013 10:33 pm i googled not sure if this helps.... http://hia.com.au/upload/hia/documents/VIC/BDDC%20enews/e-news%203.pdf looks like H2 pine is treated somehow, and MGP10 isn't appears the builder is switching between grading systems, if H2 also means SP 2 and treated then i may be stronger. Which would make sense if you have a bigger spa....... Jen Building with HomeGroupWA (started as Scott Park Homes ) - Grand Wisteria Check out my Build Thread!! Time line on P1. Re: H2 pine vs MGP10 ? Advice pls ?? 109Jan 30, 2013 10:43 pm Thank you enelya, i was trying to search too. Thanks for the link. Very imformative and now i dont have to worry or do what i do best "overthink" the matter.. tee hee hee. It just came a surprise as i was just expecting the spa papers no extras.. cheers chelle Re: H2 vs MGP10 query answered with thanks :) 113Feb 01, 2013 11:07 am TGIF Hoping yesterday was a success for you Erin. We had our new, sorry amended, land titles issued yesterday.. DH can breathe a sigh of relief he is now offically kelvin again instead of kevin. No progress to date hopefully something to report next week. chelle xxxooo Re: H2 vs MGP10 query answered with thanks :) 114Feb 01, 2013 11:21 am Hey Chelle, Yes motion seconneded - TGIF! It's been one hell of a week! Glad your hubby got his identity back. No such luck for us yet! Tuesday may be the day. Not holding our breath! Still... hard not to get hopes up! Hopefully there will be some progress on your site next week. I've got my fingers crossed for you that it all starts to happen. Must do some work! Have a good weekend. Erin. xx Re: lifestyle 300 115Feb 01, 2013 11:38 am That is soooooo frustrating. I think would be seeking some compensation, discounted block or not. It might make them think hello!!, this is gonna cost us more money we better get our skates on. Whats your settlement agent doing to resolve the issue? I hope you can enjoy your weekend i'll be crossing everything and be for successful settlement in the coming week. cheers chelle xxoo Re: lifestyle 300 116Feb 01, 2013 12:06 pm Thanks. Yeah, we have put a $ amount on for each day they are late, (thanks to Munchy); but that won't happen for a little while yet as it's a new contract, so another week or so and it'll be on for young and old if we don't have titles by that stage! All we can do is hope for the best I guess. No point in stressing over something we can't control. It'll be smooth sailing once we have gotten past this part of it and only have to deal with redink! (here's hoping anyway) Our settlement agent says she has been ringing the land agent every day and bugging her. I guess her hands are tied in the fact that she is waiting on them to get everything signed and the caveats taken off. I don't really know if she has more power than that to do anything extra. The weekend will be fine, thanks - I will wash away the cares down at the beach with family and if that doesn't work I'll drown them with copious amounts of beer when I get home! Thanks for the prayers - hopefully the combined wishing and hoping will give us some good news next week. Will keep you posted! Erin.xx Re: lifestyle 300 117Feb 01, 2013 12:19 pm StepMamma The weekend will be fine, thanks - I will wash away the cares down at the beach with family and if that doesn't work I'll drown them with copious amounts of beer when I get home! Erin.xx Lmao My settlement agent had to do the same thing, the otherside just couldnt get their act together. at least you know they are trying . cheers chelle xx oo Re: Lifestyle 300 has its block cleared :) 118Feb 02, 2013 7:49 am dawesrus Ok another question for the forum. Hi have just received the addenda for the replacement spa and also noted is the following amendment : H2 pine in lieu of MGP10 seasoned pine Can anyone offer some insight into this change? is it an improvement of just t-it for tat. any advice appreciated cheers chelle Hi chelle go with the H2 pine as it is treated the mgp10 is regular seasoned pine first one is better for termites and european borer, we paid extra for ours. Hope this helps. Kazza Re: lifestyle 300 119Feb 02, 2013 11:56 am Thanks for that Kazzbah, I believe redink have changed the product by themselves we just had to sign the addenda. Points for Redink then oooo still no change on the block. The bank should have released our monies yesterday for progress payments.. chelle Re: lifestyle 300 120Feb 06, 2013 9:42 pm Ok, settlement was supposed to be yesterday, but it never eventuated! No surprises there. 1pm came and went so I phoned our settlement agent and she said that Westpac wasn't entirely stressed on signing off on the removal of the caveat because there was no money in it for them! How lovely for them that they think that way! (sarcasm by the way - if you didn't guess) Boy if I ever had the chance to meet the so and so that decided they were above it... Anyhow... hubby, who had to sleep yesterday as he was on nightshift last night, was none the wiser until I got home from work - rather annoyed (understatement of the century). He jumped on the phone at 5.00pm ready for vengeance and the settlement agent said that westpac had lifted the caveat finally at about 4.30 yesterday afternoon and she had just gotten off the phone with the land agents. So, after a few more conversations today with the settlement agent, settlement is finally booked for 11.30 tomorrow morning. If you see smoke and hear a loud scream coming from central mandurah around lunchtime - it's ok - it'll just be me and you'll know settlement was delayed yet again! I think I have more grey hairs in the past two months than in the last 4 years that i've had a teenage daughter!! Anyway. Keep your fingers crossed!! Chelle - hope there has been a little progress at your end!! Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5188 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16147 Hi All, I engaged a tradie to install concrete retaining wall 600-800mm high over 32 meters in Victoria.
