Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Show us your Entrance & Stacker Doors 41Sep 26, 2012 12:42 pm I've opted for clear stain on my merbau doors, good to see everyone likes the colour! Of course there's always variation in the wood, I hope mine turn out nice. Starting to wish I'd chosen clear glass rather than translucent, totally never thought of tinting! My husband sleeps in the nud and has a tendency to wander to the kitchen during the night for a drink so we had a solid door with translucent sides as we didn’t want anyone to see his naked tattooed ar$e meandering down the hallway. Thats funny,i have one of those fella's too! Told him he may have to change coz our eldest is getting to the age in another couple of years were he will be going out at night & he might meet him in the kitchen one night Dont wontta scare the youngin I started a front door thread awhile ago as we have a farm house style home, not every doors would suit so i was hoping for ideas. Dont want a standard farm front door but one with abit of modern twist. Beaut doors shown, thank guys n girls. Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper! Although i need mine to match garage door which will be daintree collection.... argh colours are confusing! Re: Show us your Entrance & Stacker Doors 45Sep 26, 2012 10:50 pm If you are having wooden floors be sure to protect them from any sun coming through your front door as they will fade. Regards, Grumbles Re: Show us your Entrance & Stacker Doors 46Sep 26, 2012 11:18 pm kjw7 Leanne R - Can you see through the tint at night time? We'd like to et a reflective tint done too but aren't sure whether it would do much at night time with inside lights on? Ok at night wiht light on you can see straight in. BUT if you turn porch light on its not so visable. So if youre wanting full privacy in evening youre prob best with translucent. DH wants translucent for new house for this reason Re: Show us your Entrance & Stacker Doors 48Sep 30, 2012 7:30 am Chelles door, I'd like this one with frosted patterned glass, so as not to see inside so we can still enjoy the light but have privacy http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w377/dawesrus/chellesdoor_zpsb9d72fed.jpg Re: Show us your Entrance & Stacker Doors 49Oct 03, 2012 11:39 pm Check out our blog below! It's hard to know when you're building sometimes if what is in your head is going to be the same when it comes to fruition.
