Our concreter used 'crack bars' when it was poured to control where the driveway cracked so no need for expansion joints. You are meant to recoat the sealer every year to maintain the colour etc. I did that for the first 2 years but lost motivation the next 2. Planning to do it in the next month or so if the rain ever stops.... I think stencil is cheap, and given builders often don't include driveways, people put whatever left over money into the driveway.... I'd much rather have the stencil, as I find it very difficult to keep on top of the weeds in the paving! Doesn't matter how often I spray or cook them with boiling water, there are always more of them! Stencil can have the look of paving without the problems. Re: Paving or Stencil for driveway 10Mar 29, 2012 6:49 pm Coloured Cement is best in my opinion, you can get a pattern stamped in as well if you like. Best thing is if you chip it, the colour is still the same underneath. No matter what you go with, it's going to need some maintenance every now and then to stay looking good. As most others have posted above the install isn't compliant. The pipe is meant to be covered in loose soil or sand, the pipe has holes in it that leaks out a termicide… 10 20408 3 20772 |
