They're a bit more dramatic than the cushioned edge, but you won't regret it, if you decided to go with those. The tiles presented some challenges initially when trying to do the corners and sides (not exactly practical to cut these tiles!) but after a bit of frustration, we ended up paying the extra to buy the smaller square tiles instead for these 'gaps'. So much easier and gave a proper finish. We used leftover grout from the build, which was quite a dark grey. We really wanted the tiles to pop, and give it that 'brick' look which we felt was a bit more authentic to the style of subway tiles. Ikea overheads are happening...eventually. Gotta pay off the CCs and pay for the rest of our upcoming wedding, so some of the house stuff is on the waitlist for now. It's finally happening! Whichever you choose, I'm certain it will look absolutely stunning It's finally happening! There hasn't been heaps of progress going on at our place, what with all the rain, also trying to pay all our vendors for the wedding in 6 months. I do however have a couple of in progress photos from a few months back when we were first getting stuck into things. The first one is the modular wall we had installed down the boundary on the secondary street. This has taken up a lot of paint, and a bit of trial and error to figure out what sort of texture we wanted on the wall, and the best way to get it. The guys at Bunnings were not fans of us when we were buying the roll-on textured render stuff...it took a very long time to mix the colour in (Colorbond Paperbark). The consistency is similar to that of very thick soft serve icecream (and it really did look like ice cream..don't worry, I didn't taste test any!). We've finally finished painting it, but I haven't taken 'completed' pics http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w504/the_jjs/WP_20130622_004_zpsd6401af9.jpg This next one is our still in progress hallway....this has been a real pain in the a#$. It's going to look good when it's done. I hope. We're about 90% complete with this so far. It's taking a lot of patience to make sure everything is attached to the wall perfectly straight and matching up all the pieces... http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w504/the_jjs/WP_20130520_001_zps8c5b87ed.jpg This weekend just gone, we finished putting down all the concrete footings for the planter boxes were having out the front under the awning windows. Still lots of the lovely black sand everywhere....(and now really regretting having a white shag rug down in the living room...it has been a magnet for the dirt and dust from all the construction). Anyhow, that's it for now! More to come soon It's finally happening! We are going to go with exactly the same scheme I'm going with except for a greyer top.. I even have the same kettle and toaster as you (in blue ha!).. Done it once.. Lived in it a year.. Sold it.. We've done it at 1/4 strength through the whole house Re: HomegroupWA in Aubin Grove - Moving in PROGRESS PICS! 512Oct 27, 2013 4:21 pm Hi All, Sorry for my sudden post. THought you can suggest me. I got this design for a 3X2 from a builder on a 357m2 land 11.2 m frontage in Aubin grove. I wanted a 4X2 to be honest. Since I am really new in home building, I just wanted to hear what your thoughts are with regards to space and room dimensions in this design. Is it too small ? Is it worth it ? Sorry I might be sounding silly but i just want to know what u think of this.
