Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 27, 2012 1:32 pm Hi We are currently building a new house. When the slab for the house was put down, an extra small slab was laid at the side for the rainwater tank. At this stage, we assumed the hot water tank (gas boosted solar hot water) would also sit on this slab but now it appears it was only for the rainwater tank. There is no room on the slab for the hot water tank so I assume it will sit directly on the ground. Is this normal practice? What, if anything, should a hot water tank sit on? We have left a message for our site supervisor but thought I would ask in the meantime. Thanks for any answers.
