Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 27, 2012 10:38 am Hi Forum, It is great place to share things. I am going to build Lincoln35 with Edenbrae in Beaumont Rise and going to sign the contract with them on 18th of April. We need your suggestions in colour selection. roof would be colour bond. 1) There is tie between PGH crema or Sorbetto. Crema is more towards creamish and sorbetto is grey. Does any one have built with any one of these bricks ? If yes could you please share the colour selection with us. What would be the roof, gutter, downpipes, facia, garage colour if we choose either crema or sorbetto. Which color scheme would be more appealing creamish or greish. Not good with colours guys. 2) I am not technical person so have no idea, builder said you must do all the electrical upgrades during the building in double story after that it is not possible to do the electrical upgrades on the ground floor. Is it true? Does anyone know how many down lights would be enough in 37 square home ? How much they charge for 1 downlight? I am planning to install satellite dish as well so then I will have 6-8 tv points as well, it looks gonna costs us hughe bucks 3) Flooring. Can any one tell us how much should we should keep aside to upgrade the ceramic tiles to porclean (4x4) tiles and how much we need if we want to upgrade carpet to timber or lamination. Thanks heaps. I hope would get answer soon Farhan Re: Building Lincoln35 with Eden Brae 2Jul 06, 2012 7:53 pm Hi - I dont have any answers to your questions - but I was wondering how is the process going for you? Re: Building Lincoln35 with Eden Brae 3Jul 06, 2012 8:27 pm Hi, Developer approved plans today so we will be in council next week. We had few hiccups as Developer refused our application twice due to front set back issues and Eden Bread didnt pick it up at the time of drafting plans. But they have been very professional and helping. Sometime I have been impatient but no builder can work on your file everyday. In short i am happy so far, I have done my all appointments. Let me know if you need further help. Re: Building Lincoln35 with Eden Brae 4Jul 06, 2012 8:37 pm That's good to hear!!! When is your anticipated start date? Re: Building Lincoln35 with Eden Brae 5Jul 07, 2012 7:55 am In the contract it was 31st of August but it would be delayed at least one month due to Developers approval.Secondly it depends how long Council takes to approve it.Once Council approves Edenbrae takes 5 week to start it Re: Building Lincoln35 with Eden Brae 6Jul 24, 2012 6:50 pm I started my blog http://lincoln35.blogspot.com.au, will put more stuff in coming days
