Hi All,
Recently, our builder informed us that we need to organise the 20mm dry tap water meter to be installed on our block in order for them to carry out the brickwork at a later stage. (currently frame stage)
As soon as I've been notified, I went ahead and made booking for the installation via Yarra Valley Water and paid for the booking fee accordingly. I have also informed our administrator as soon as I've applied for it.
This morning I received a call from the guy who is on site to install the meter and said he is unable to do the installation due to the site is full of timbers and I will need to re book and this will incur a re-booking fee.
My question is who should be bear the cost of this re-booking fee? My understanding is that the builder should be responsible for the construction site and ensure the tidiness of it and as such, they should be at least pay for the re-booking, is this correct?
Any advise would be highly appreciated.
