I was just looking at your plan. If you wanted, you could take 500mm of wall-space off the master bed's WIR and add it to the pantry. This would mean losing 500mm of hanging space in the WIR and adding the full left wall of shelf space to the pantry. (i.e. just move the pantry wall left by 500mm) Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 1388Sep 07, 2012 5:44 am You wouldn't miss 50 cms but having a full wall of pantry you might miss, ESP if there is a bench there. Half bench might drive you nuts I would have a door down hall. Have a cavity slider. Floor to ceiling, so no door frame. You won't then hear your teenagers music and their party, till you go to bed. A cavity slider hides away in The wall, so you won't even see it. No door in the way at all. We have one and love it when 14 girls are doing a fashion show down that end of the house. Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 1389Sep 07, 2012 6:44 am ^^^ I would have a door too! Even if you can't afford to put a fully recessed slider, a normal door is so worth the couple of hundred dollars! It will also ensure that in the evenings when you want the sleeping zone full of quiet kiddies to stay that way, you won't wake them dancing in the kitchen! I think there was one originally. It might also be useful to remove one of the doors to the WIR too. That way you can get an ikea billy bookcase or something similar, and put it on that wall inside the robe. .. Use it for shoes, folded clothes or towels. Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 1391Sep 07, 2012 9:17 am So if she takes off a door from wardrobe ( already included in bill) and uses it elsewhere all she needs to pay for is a frame. I think having 2 wings, would be good...ESP as they get older. Their play station is really loud. Which will be in the guest come kids play room, and so by cutting out some of the noise, ....when you are dancing to abba and they are trying to concentrate on FIFA 2018 Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 1393Sep 07, 2012 2:30 pm Yeah, but then she moved her entrance way to master, so there can still be a door..just have it on dining room wall etc. Won't block master bed noise from kids but will from those eating! Re: Queenslanders building our first house!!!! 1396Oct 17, 2012 10:29 pm Hey everyone!!!! Sorry I've been too quiet this last month...... Rest assured everything is going along smoothly!!!!!!
