Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 20, 2012 8:13 pm i am fast losing confidence in RI...after waking for weeks for drawings we recived them today, now i know these are just preliminary plans, but things we changed with the salesman on the plans, HAVE NOT been changed on the drawings.. 1. the robe to bed 4 has not been reduced 2. even tho we are not having 3 phase, they have put 3 phase fuse box...which makes me think that they havent even looked into the air con unit - the one inthe promotion requires 3 phase to run, but we cannot get 3 phase and told the salesman this.....so i imagine this will be a headache 3. the shws, has the tank on the side of the house we are going to be putting up a patio....as if you want to be stting next to that ugly thing. 4. the kitchen sink is the wrong way round, which means the dishwasher space/plumbing is also wrong. plus a couple of other things. are these things easily changeable at prestart.....and even if they are...if they havent got them right now, how can i have the confidence that they will be correct later.... Re: YAY we have plans....BOOOOOO there are so many mistakes. 3Mar 20, 2012 8:52 pm Yes, do not sign those plans until you are happy the changes have been made. Its lazy and unprofessional. Re: YAY we have plans....BOOOOOO there are so many mistakes. 5Mar 21, 2012 8:00 pm Would you like to come in and discuss your concerns GardenofNeedn? I'm happy to attend with our Drafting Manager, and make sure you get exactly what you want and expect (within the regulations, as planfan mentioned). I've just had a look at the Drafting comments sheet, which lists issues they came across as they were doing your plans. Your Sales Consultant would normally contact you to discuss these soon after the plans are sent to you, but it rarely happens within 24 hours of the plans being completed. One of the comments addressed your point 3. IT said "SHW STORAGE & BOOSTER POSITIONED TO MINIMISE 15m RUN, ANY OTHER LOCATION WILL REQUIRE SECOND BOOSTER PLEASE CONFIRM". So they've drawn the least cost option, but the storage can be moved to another area by adding a second booster. 3 Phase power is also addressed in the comments sheet. Some corrections are to be expected, it's a complex process, and I hope you'll continue to work with us to get what you want, without losing confidence. Let me know whether you'd like to come in, or discuss the concerns on the phone. CT 6 11528 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 105496 They already have two well known ones (HIA & MBA) that many new home buyers mistakenly think are regulatory bodies that Joe Public can complain to. 6 18007 |
