Re: REDINK SOR - White Plantation Shutters :) 745Apr 05, 2013 2:43 pm Bradster & Jen, I am very very pleased with Boardwalk Due to our very well costed quote we will be installing white plantation shutters throughout the entire home, My hubby has given it the go ahead... I am beaming with excitement... They will also be doing our side gate(aluminium wood grain) which they also quoted us at a better price then anyone else... If anyone wants to check them out, here is Boardwalks website... http://www.boardwalk.net.au/ Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 746Apr 05, 2013 3:14 pm Ill have get quote for my wet areas and my wood look gate too. Every single home that we whent into that had plantation shutters just made us go WOW, it made the home feel soo much more fresh and classy.... We were told that they were expensive but ever since we fell in love with them nothing else really compared for us...Thank god we found out today that they are much more cheaper then what we have been advised I would suggest going to see a few display homes with shutters to see what we are talking about.... Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 749Apr 05, 2013 7:29 pm How much cheaper are we talking Mary??? Say, price for average size window??? Youre right the prices aren't so bad. MissEm to give an idea... 71cm x 214cm window is $517 (that's my full length slim awning window in ensuite). Its a wet area one though Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 751Apr 05, 2013 7:43 pm Hi Mary, I've been stalking your thread for awhile now...we really really want plantation shutters for our front window, did the quote you got come from boardwalk shutters? My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 752Apr 05, 2013 8:44 pm I'm pretty convinced that I love them. My husband likes them too. He likes that unlike curtains they don't hold heaps of dust or need washing. I thnk they look so bright and fresh and modern. I'll have my keys any day now and will look into getting a quote ASAP. Hi Shdowkat Yes our quote did come from Boardwalk Shutters in Balcatta. They really are great.... One of the sales reps came to our house today to do a measure and quote.(so refreshing to be able to get a quote then and there on the spot) .. Takes 8-10 weeks to make and install Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 754Apr 05, 2013 9:16 pm turtleschell I'm pretty convinced that I love them. Come on Turtleschell, you know you want the shutters and will always regret it if you dont get them and get boring old blinds and curtains heeheh Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 755Apr 05, 2013 10:33 pm Thanks, will be getting quotes in the next couple of weeks so will give them a call. My Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=63545 Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 756Apr 06, 2013 8:37 am Hey Mary I can vouch for Boardwalk Shutters! They did all our windows and they look great! As a guide for pricing for people asking, they charge around $350psm. Can't wait to see some photos (although I haven't put any up for a while ) Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 757Apr 06, 2013 11:32 am We are also getting plantation shutters but not for a few months so have white wood blinds for now. We had a quote from ABC and its not bad, just a word of warning for those of you with awning windows, you must have the frame fitted on the outside not the recess, as happened to a friend and she cannot get the fly screens out anymore as the frame prevents removal. If you want them recessed then you have to remove screens. Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 758Apr 06, 2013 12:07 pm ^^^^ Oh thanks for that!! Might have to just do white wood venetians in my ensuite then as that's awning. Bathroom and toilet are sliding Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 759Apr 06, 2013 7:20 pm I am keeping the shutters on our 4 awning windows at the front (the sales rep did mention to flyscreen)...If i ever need to clean the windows from the inside i will just wind open the window and use a windscreen wiper and clean from the outside:) Re: REDINK SOR - Finally have found White Plantation Shutter 760Apr 07, 2013 1:16 am I think it's a small price to pay to keep the clean and neat fitting of the frame Vote+1 The significant date is when receive final payment invoice Check that section of contract Bit of fluff by builders prior to that 1 15952 Hello everyone Please advice me how can I install mesh security window or we cab say mesh flyscreen inside while the pvc plantation shutters are already installed?
