Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 18, 2012 8:51 am Hi everyone, Just wondering what most people have in terms of clothes organizers in their walk in wardrobe? We opted out of the upgrade for the veneer two by two clothes organizers that they wanted to charge $1500 for. However, when Ikea does a bigger system for around the same price. Is that just how much clothes organizers are? Or do you just put your set of drawers in your WIR and call it good? Is there a price difference if you get it custom made? seems like it would be more expensive but my partner said it shouldn't be. Any advice or insight would help, thanks! Re: WALK IN WARDROBE ORGANIZERS 2Mar 18, 2012 1:34 pm We got ours fitted out by Premium in Melbourne, We have a u-shaped WIR, Either long side has a shelf and two rows of hangers running about 1.5 metres. The last metre (maybe less) is full length hanging. The end of the U (ie. the end wall) has two sets of shelves running from the floor up to the top shelf, for folded clothes, bags etc etc. We have shoe racks on the floor. We certainly didn't pay anything close to $1500 for it, and it was done before we moved in. They also did both the kids bedroom cupboards for us. After I've painted my house, planted a garden, installed a clothes line,.... I mostly want drawer storage for socks, undies, sweaters etc. the upgrades from our builder would have hardly given us enough space. Normally you use builders bog.
