Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 17, 2012 5:09 pm Hi everyone, After some long research we realised that instead of just having white external walls of our house we could think of having either wood, fair faced concrete or stone Some things are very obvious that they exist, but you never actually take them into account unti you actually consider them for your personal use! So now we are thinking of possibilities for using either wood or fair faced concrete. Any people in here having experience with these on their houses? Some people told us that by installing wood, you should paint it definitely on a yearly basis... thus although is a nice solution, might be a real pain long term! I would be waiting for any advice Thanks! Re: Material for external walls of house 2Mar 17, 2012 5:27 pm We have just started building and will be using polystyrene with a cement render finish.
