The painters used some different stuff.. The maintenance guys has come to 'look' at our house about 6 times :/ the amount of work that he does compared to the amount of 'looking' is minimal and they have just all continued to blame each other lol its actually quiet funny how much they all whinge about each other whereas we whinge about all of them! That maintenance guy is a waste of space. He came out a couple of times to our house. Walked around with a drill and did nothing. Last time he came he had told G that he had completed everything on the list and he had done nothing. He came out and wanted a run down of what needed doing. I asked if he had the list and he said G had sent him it. So he walked around and I said that I would go through everything else once he got started = he said óh no I am not here to do anything, just look' and while he was looking put down all the trades that Rawson had. I practically threw him out and told him off for wasting my time. I wrote a complaint letter to the construction manager. He better not do the same thing the next time he comes as I will not be as pleasant as I was last time. I wonder if they realise they are paying a guy a full time wage to go around and look at people houses and bag everyone out! He constantly whinges about the other tradies and G and how much work he has on lol Hubby is now dealing with him as I no longer have the patience and the emails are no longer friendly and polite.. My very first blog http://benham33.blogspot.com.au/ Re: Our Benham 33 journey 4117Nov 05, 2013 12:56 pm The last one from him was saying that if we couldn't have someone take the day to wait for painters on the one day they notified us of then we 'would just have to wait' (he said no one would get there before Christmas) never mind the 2 weeks that hubby was home for and the 6 weeks notice we gave them that hubby would be home so they could book it in.. turns out they never booked it in! I wondered why maintenance guy was 'supervised' by SS when he did our maintenance inspection a few weeks ago. He's supposed to be back to do some work for us next monday. We'll see how it goes??? Building Stroud 30 in Lake Macquarie Re: Our Benham 33 journey 4119Nov 06, 2013 8:48 am The maintenance guy for our SS came by and did a few pieces of work last week. - fixed some popped screws in the plasterboard in the roof - adjusted doors - adjusted loose handles - removed/painted/replaced/realigned cavity sliding doors All fairly unsupervised, but the SS did come past to make sure he knew everything he had to do. We're a little lucky that there's still 2 other builds by Rawson going on within a few streets so the tradies, our SS and maintenance guys are all still nearby. A funny story our SS told us of a new job he got was in the inner west in Sydney, the block is 8m wide and he has no idea how they're going to fit this house on the block.
