Our maintenance started about 4 months ago, and it's still not finished, it's doing my head in, I have been extremely flexible with trades! I would expect some motor would be damaged in the cleaning but where they didn't even clean is a joke. As you said the issue you have is the more they clean the move they damage the brick. I hope they get onto fixed it for you ASAP as this website is proving to be a powerful tool and I think its a shame for R to have work like that on display when there internal finishes are so good. I have already organised an independent inspection at lockup stage and before handover. I will be telling them to make sure all the brick work is up to scratch as I didn't pay 13k to upgrade the bricks to have a below average job. So many people have mentioned issues with the 'handyman' and some tadies after handover and struggling to get work fixed I think everyone should get an inspection. And thanks again for sharing your experience (although bad). To spend a little over $1000 when your house is 300k to 500k its a small price to pay. For us, we're not paying rent and living next door with the parents so I can guarantee we're not paying the last payment and moving in until we're 100% happy that all current issues identified in the report are fixed. Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3852Sep 08, 2013 8:36 pm Really ordinary brickwork Jen. You definitely should pursue it. Building Stroud 30 in Lake Macquarie Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3853Sep 08, 2013 8:55 pm SL and Korboo, thanks for sharing the details for private certifier. We have just completed bricking and i am not sure as to how to take this to SS. But definitely i will. An update on our build - our roof tiles are laid, garage and alfresco remaining, weatherboards are delivered on site. They should continue work on these next week. We lost a week because SS has changed and he had to call the carpenters again to fix few stuffs. They were also supposed to call Electricians during bricking the pillar, for pillar lights (we have lights on 3 pillars), which was not done. We checked with the new SS and he confirmed that it had to be done. Too bad, they have to call the brickies too to complete all these. Not our headache though. The new SS seems to be very strict and precisely going by the books. I hope he does a good a job. Have got very good reviews about him. Also our bricks should be cleaned this week. I will be closely watching it. Jen, sorry I haven't been following the thread closely. I'm just wondering if you notified your brickwork issue to top blokes in Rawsons? If you haven't i think you should do that first before you take it further. The brickwork is pathetic, this is not acceptable at all. I hope it all gets sorted out for you.. Korboo, i love your tiles, it goes well with your brick. I wish I too had picked a color like yours. Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3854Sep 08, 2013 10:20 pm Jen that is devastating!! I feel for you.. Sorry I've been quiet on here guys we have been so busy with weddings, work etc I have a close friend opening a new pole studio to!! One day soon I will list all the maintenance issues we are having.. We atleast finally got our tiling stuff fixed and they look good (after the tiler didn't show on the day I took off work). But everything else is messed up and it's going on 6 months of maintenance. Jen we discussed the other day getting a private builder as we also trusted Rawson to do the right thing. All the things that the tradies that are coming are saying is making us really un easy.. I have advised that they need to be rectified or I will be emailing all photos to the Construction Manager and I will be taking it further. I have been assured that they will be fixed - I am really dubious if a brick clean will fix them. So I am meeting SS and the brick cleaner at my house today to go over all of the bricks and what needs to be done. Cheers B&K Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3858Sep 09, 2013 9:48 am Can anyone recommend a building inspector for metropolitan Sydney? I think I remember reading somewhere on this blog a company "Howarth", "Hovarth"?? Thanks Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3859Sep 09, 2013 9:54 am Building the S36 Can anyone recommend a building inspector for metropolitan Sydney? I think I remember reading somewhere on this blog a company "Howarth", "Hovarth"?? Thanks I'm using the same one as 'dussel' and 'Koroboo' are using and we're in Sydney - inner west. If you mention this site he gives a small discount. I think he will be a busy, but happy, man with all this new business. http://www.hnkryan.com/ Re: Our Benham 33 journey 3860Sep 09, 2013 10:33 am Jen!! Wow.. just in shock to be honest. G comes across as someone that wouldn't let that quality pass or slip by!!! Yet another bit of a let down here.. Site was first meant to be cut last Tuesday, then met on site with SS on the Thursday. He reassured us with a phone call to his excavator that it would be done last Friday. Well it wasn't.. and now they have been and put the temp fencing and portaloo up and it's all in the way of where the dirt was supposed to be pushed to! So partly excited that we have the fence, but not happy that site hasn't been cut and now will be a pain with the fence already in!! Any advice on how to ensure the kit home granny flat that im thinking of buying will get council approval. The kit home companys wont release plans without a deposit and… 0 7274 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 23884 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 36 23993 |
