Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 11, 2012 10:11 am Hey there, We are looking to build a new house in Dayboro QLD on a fairly steep sloping block. We have found the Rural Building Company based in WA who have some amazing designs but we just want to see if anyone from QLD has ever used another builder with their designs? Thanks heaps Re: Rural Building Company 2Mar 11, 2012 1:57 pm You could try http://www.pjburns.com/ they are sloping block Specialists. They have a very good reputation on http://www.product (no space) review.com.au/p/pj-burns.html I have not built with them I chose Hallmark Homes and they have been great so far. I put in (no space) because the censor has gone crazy Re: Rural Building Company 4Mar 12, 2012 2:54 pm AMO72 - you could also speak to the homeone user jayw. The designs are copyrighted, so if you want to build one of those, best to speak to him Re: Rural Building Company 5Mar 12, 2012 5:41 pm Thanks Munta... We were really wanting to get the cost comparisons to get a QLD Builder to build it in comparision to what the company charges in WA... QLD has a long history with reverse brick, framed construction and poles homes. In WA these are done by specialist builder's, who are themselves paying a premium for trades, supplies and transport. WA doesn't have the volume in purchase with companies like James Hardie, so alot of the materials cost more in WA than over East. We do however build double cavity homes on concrete slabs better than in the East. Rendering in particular is a much poorer quality than in WA. Like I said you arent comparing apples with apples Hi Renee, Boundaries in NSW are generally shown on Deposited Plans.
