Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 30, 2022 11:02 am Hello All, I am considering an option either to: 1. Add a 4m 'built-in robe' along the wall of the garage or 2. Add a 2sqm of internal storage space What could be the best option? Can anyone also help me with some pricing estimate for adding a 4m built-in robe after the construction? If I choose to increase the garage size, I will pay around $1400/sqm to the builder. Any and all suggestions/feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you. Your garage is only 5.6m long, if you put built in cabinets you will be down to close on 5m internal length. Normally you would want a bit more length to run built in cabinetry unless you run them around 450 deep in stead of 600mm like standard cabinetry. A Toyota Camry is 4.8m long so you will be very tight. The extra space will give you space to put bikes, lawnmower etc. You could still install some custom cabinetry for storage, you'd just have to keep it slim.
