I'm paying about $4500 off the top of my head, which is a rate about 50% off. The benefits in terms of heating, cooling and insulation are well worth it - plus you get a rendered look if that's something you want. I figured the limestone mantle would be very pricey - should be able to have one installed as we've budgeted 10K for it. Was there a specific showroom you went to? Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq.
