Maybe this is a stupid question... so apologies in advance!
Is it normal process to sign your contract with a builder before the land gets titled?
My bank manager thinks its not, and a few friends say it should be ok.. but I don't know anyone who has before.
We've decided on the house, we've done the colours and now our contract is ready to be signed next week but the land doesnt title til May and since its not titled we havent officially got our loan (we've got confirmation of it, but since the land can't be valuated its a little up in the air) Also, my understanding is that we can't get a pre-approval for the build either since we don't offically have a piece of land ?
