Can I ask how much extra did your changes cost? also what are the extras? The BLUM soft close sounds great. My kids are forever banging drawers and cupboards. This seems to be always my question, sorry. Building seems to have so many extras and it seems to be an industry where what you see ISN'T what you get Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 23Apr 19, 2012 12:21 am Well all my kitchen changes would be an additional $10k. Upgrades were: gas cooktop - $1k glass splashback - $2k cabinetry - $5k - each blum drawer is $250 a pop! sink/mixer - $1k Bulkheads(no gap between overhead cupboards and ceiling) - $500 Vented rangehood - $500 I edited my post as i forgot to include the glass splashback Building with Jandson Homes - Eclipse 18. http://adgnetworks.blogspot.com/ Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 25Apr 19, 2012 12:48 am The kitchen is difficult to redo later on without doing some damage. The cabinetry cost includes the blum mechanisms. The fabrication difference between a standard sliding drawer and a blum drawer is like night and day. Each blum drawer is individually made compared to just adding metal rails to standard drawers. My list is growing each day. Not looking forward to adding it all up. Thanks for your help. Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 27Apr 22, 2012 10:14 pm Walls and ceiling are done. Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 29Apr 23, 2012 12:09 pm Yep.. Definately a unique facade compared to the rest of the houses i've seen in this entire estate. The doors will be fairly simple as i am putting a security screen on that will cover the design anyway. Didnt want to waste $$ on some fancy looking doors. Austral Shingle - Coal ] Hi Adgn, I have loved watching your house take shape and particularly love your main entrance portico, very grand indeed, I just wanted to comment about your roof tiles as you had said austral shingle coal, however your tiles are austral classic coal, not sure if they have given you the wrong ones or not I only know as we have the same tiles and they are definitely classic coal, mind you they look fantastic, cause they're the same as mine Look forward to seeing the internal fit out Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 31Apr 23, 2012 12:25 pm Building with Jandson Homes - Eclipse 18. http://adgnetworks.blogspot.com/ Re: Building with Jandson homes - Gyprock stage. 33Apr 23, 2012 4:08 pm gogo65 is right - call them what you like, they look fantastic Congratulations on a beautiful home. Not too disappointed as it's still fairly unique in our estate as most(80%) people have gone for the seville look. So the cabinetry was delivered and installed yesterday along with the tiling nearly completed. My phone cam doesn't handle the low light so well.. The drawers are Blum Tandem box.. which means 80% metal construction. I was just expecting Blum Tandem which is just built in runners. I guess that's why i paid $250 per drawer... And apparently i'm the first person to use Blum Clip top Blumotion according to my kitchen manufacturer who has been in business the past 40 years..
