Yep, I'm going to pop it in the pantry, but I just like the look of the trim kit better

Is there a sopt you could build it in with the trim kit?

Love the colours! I didn't realise you were a member of the homeone grey decorating army! Mek is our unofficial "leader" and is referred to for all advice concerning charcoal, grey and associated colours! ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the laundry open shelves, much easier to grab everyday items and like you said, just something a bit different. Happy to hear about the beautiful fit of the cabinetry. I know in Melbourne metro the cabinetry for M3tricon is done by Choice Cabinets. Is that the same for Gippsland? I hope we can look forward to the same standard. Really looking forward to seeing the Seattle Sky benchtops. It's going to tie in beatifully with your floor tiles. We are using this colour in the laundry and the powder room. Doesn't seem to be an overly popular choice, but I love it. I thought about it for the kitchen, but went with black stone and soft grey cabinetry, sort of the reverse of you. ![]() ![]() I love the sense of drama that can be achieved with greys and darker colours. Your kitchen is an example of that. Congratulations on your bold choice! It's going to look fabulous! Can't wait to see further progress! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Our M3tric0n story 84Jul 20, 2008 4:56 pm Regarding the crooked shelves:

We wanted to stay with neutral tones but still be a bit bold, and I think we got it right. I was a bit worried that the house would end up too dark especially after the tiles went in but as it turns out the colour of them is not much different to the concrete. ![]() Not sure where the cabinets were made, they could well have been made by Choice in Melbourne. Looking at their website it looks like they are the supplier for M3tricon. Here's an interesting thing, the steel lintels that support brickwork above the garage door and portico come from Wodonga! love the external colour of the house, the combination of the colour is beautiful. Initially we were gonna build the Montego 28, but then we changed our mind for what we can't remember ![]() ![]() Also, we selected the same ktichen colour as yours during our colour selection but then change our mind...again...because it'll look too dark since we're putting a dark colour timber flooring. Good luck with the rest of the building process..... ![]() Start: 15 May 08, Current: Handover inspection 19/09 after that, the house is ours!! It's great to see the progress of your house. Really like the color combination of your bricks and gutters/fascias/roof. Yes, you are right that the combination of grey and blue was dramatic in your house. Very nice! The cabinetry to your kitchen looks properly done.. hope we have the same quality as yours. Can't wait to see our house at that stage. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: Our M3tric0n story 92Jul 30, 2008 10:47 pm A bit remiss of me not to keep everyone not only up to date with progress, but also with other side issues.
We now have permission to get our deck built privately before handover. It will consist of picture framed 140mm screwed merbau boards on treated pine underframe, covering 33m2, for a tick over 6 grand. This, compared to $4500 just for concrete which was originally in the contract. Big win. Phoenix, M will not only cover the termite pipes but spread enough dirt around to bring the block up to it's natural level. Basically they have to replace what they originally scraped away, which is an area bigger than the house itself. Jo, the cabinetry was indeed constructed by Choice Cabinets. Our new supervisor, who I've only met once so far, is a good bloke, from a similar mould as our first one but with a great deal more exerience. He is more than capable of bringing the project to completion in a timely manner and has already solved a couple of lingering problems, such as getting the back door replaced etc. We keep meeting great people! ![]() Latest news. All wet area tiling has been completed and the painter has been in the house for a couple of days now doing prep work. The painting itself should begin tomorrow. We are lucky enough to be getting 3 coats of paint now instead of the standard 2, something to do with their latest offer or upgraded standard inclusions? Pictures show tiling to bathroom, ensuite and laundry. One slightly disappointing thing to learn is that nowadays M3tricon actually offer flush instead of raised shower bases, but we missed out. Oh well.
