Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 14, 2012 9:55 pm Hi, The plumber hit rocks when he was digging for the underground watertanks. In our contract, there is no indicated price for rock excavation. The builder has not charged us yet and I would like to know what would be a reasonable price for this? I looked every where in this forum and failed to find a figure anywhere. Thanks a lot! My Builder said to allow $200 p/hr if we hit rock and probably 2 to 3 hrs approx also. Both of them are bringing rock breakers with them, soil test shows weathered rock. I have allowed for 8 hrs each so hope it does not go past that No one can give you a meaningful answer without looking at your building contract, what happened on site and who designed your house You should get experienced building… 1 10182 Hmmm, I have checked your past posts and it seems that you are in NSW, not WA as I had thought.
