Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 13, 2012 5:02 pm Hi, Hi everyone!! I am just beginning this long but exciting process and have been looking at a few posts over the last few days. I have a question and I hope that someone can help me. I am looking to build a new Eden Brae home and I had a question about the front door. What is the standard door now? When my sister built 3 years ago it was the 'Eden door' (with three large panes of glass) but the sales person I was dealing with said that this type of door was an extra. I'm not talking about a stained wooden door but the cheaper one that is painted. Hoping that someone can help. Dearheart Eden Brae front door 2Feb 13, 2012 5:35 pm We have the Eden 3G as standard. You can upgrade to the 4G, 5G or 6G etc which just makes each pane of glass smaller. It cost us about $150 to have it stained, but we kept with the clear glass (which is standard). Any other type of glass will cost you more again. Where is the salesman you were talking too located? Perhaps he misunderstood your question as the 3G is 100% the standard door. Re: Eden Brae front door 4Feb 13, 2012 8:52 pm Thanks for the info. Oran - that makes me feel a lot better. The salesman was at Chisolm (Thorton) - he was sure that the 3 panel door was an upgrade, very relieved to hear that is the standard. Thank you to you both for responding so quickly. Re: Eden Brae front door 5Aug 14, 2012 9:04 am Perhaps it was the size? We changed our front door from 2 singles to 1 large door and there was supposedly an upgrade cost (they ended up throwing it in for some reason). We are having 3m ceilings in our entry and the door is high and wide. Not all Eden doors are standard.
