All help much needed. Regards Hi Sheffieldhunter you can go to pgh website and see every brick there but here is the link for gravel http://www.pghbricks.com.au/Uploads/Dow ... ighres.jpg How was your HOG appointment, mine wasn't ezy i had massiv headache after still waiting for quotes. Hi thanks for your help I actually went to PGH today and got a brick sample of the gravel and a list of homes built with gravel in my area. Unfortunately we were knocked back on the mocha brick in from the standard range in our estate so now we have chosen gravel fingers crossed it will pass by the developer etc. very painful as we had made all our external colours based on the mocha brick but now we actually love gravel very similar to mocha Our HOG was very painful, rushed and we were disappointed with how it was delt with we ended up going back the next day for our internal colours changing them as we didn't like what we chose within the two hrs so we were given a full week to decide do research and actually love what we have chosen. With external colours we breezed through it we love what we have chose something different from everyone else not the same house after house it should looking awesome!!!! We had Kitchen Culture Friday that was easy as just signing off on the upgrades tomorrow. Di Lorenzo is this Saturday we pretty much have everything picked out. How about you what do you have left to do??? As we like the wooden garage door, but found that it will cost around $3000. If the slandered one looks good then we will not go for upgrade. Nothing in my documentation mentions that the wooden one is included, so I'm assuming it's an extra-cost option. I was planning on going for a standard one anyway, just no idea what colour yet! Hi guys, The garage door that EB supply is a Steel-line aluminum roller door with a motor + 2 remotes, the timber look is roughly 3k+ and it is still aluminum just a wood look, the real timber door is 6k+ hope this helps. Cheers Hi, I think the $3000 dollars garage door is by Decowood. Try Colour Bond Classic Cedar which give similar wooden tone at a cheaper price of $1600. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11364Feb 27, 2015 11:52 pm sheffieldhunter kim_kdr I found admin very painful. But once we started building it has been great. We have a really good site supervisor who has been great at keeping us up to date. Even the small issues we have had have been sorted out very quickly by our supervisor. For the sink upgrade it was about $1k for the draining grooves and undermount sink. The sink itself was an additional $300. Hi kim_kdr, Just wondering how much you were charged for the cut and polish for the undermount sink roughly? Cheers Hi, Maybe I can help. We got quoted $520 for cut & polish for undercount sink with 1 tap. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11366Feb 28, 2015 7:23 am kim_kdr I know! But yes shouldn't be surprised! We were lucky to get the upgraded stone in that promotion ☺ Wanted to ask, what cabinet colour did you use in the bathrooms? Would it have been an upgrade for you to get the double vanity in the ensuite or could you not do that because of the heated towel rack? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11367Feb 28, 2015 9:05 am Sorry yes. I am not sure how much the undermount Polish was. $500-$600 sounds right as we paid about $1k all up for both the undermount polish and the draining grooves. For the ensuite we wanted the heated towel rail and the only way to make it fit was to reduce the vanity to a single. Double was standard. Of course we got no credit for reducing the vanity size! The laminex we got was a promotional upgrade at the time. We had chosen the colour and it just happened we could upgrade to a textured finish in the same colour. I need to go check out what colour it is though as I can't remember. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11368Feb 28, 2015 4:07 pm When doing your plumbing appointments is there an option for shower screen/door options? We are building the Livingstone 20 and have noticed that in the display home of the ensuite shower door it opens out and if you let it go, it hits the vanity pretty hard. I brought this up with our tender presenter at our building contract signing and asked if its a design flaw as they've put a shower into too small an ensuite for it to open properly. She made a note to ask about a sliding door option for the shower so that when we went to that appointment we could ask. I don't feel that this should cost us anything as we wouldn't be "upgrading" we're simply asking for a shower screen door that functions without possibly smashing it down the track by accidentally letting go or pushing the door open into the vanity. The other option which we chose against, would be to extend the ensuite out under the eaves and turn the shower sideways, but for an $800 extension we felt that we shouldn't bare the cost of as its a design issue Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11369Feb 28, 2015 4:34 pm Hi bugbos, At HOG appointment, I changed my shower screens to hob free, so I got credited the removal of the hob & tiles, then paid the upgrade to different screens that I liked. I changed my main bathroom to incorporate the separate toilet so I could enlarge that shower (~1950mm wide), & I put the door swing to suit (so it didn't hit anything). This did cost me, as its a bigger wet area, more tiles, bigger screen, etc - but it is pretty nice. I saw the barriers/'flaws' in the design I picked - similar to what you have described - but I chose to modify it to suit what I wanted/prevent future mishaps because I really loved the rest of the home Good luck with your build! ...brickie starting on Monday! Hi Lincoln35_mckinley, We have chosen Burnished wood natural finish with upgraded EssaStone Torrone for both bathrooms we have done Espresso Ligna natural finiish with pure calcite laminex benches. We just had our tile appointment this morning so all selections are done yay We were originally going to do the blackened linewood in the kitchen but after doing research we didn't like the lines a bit too many also depending on your budget we couldn't afford the glossy, silk finish the blackened linewood looks nice in those finishes but totally different in the natural finish but each to their own. We were also going to go with blackened linewood in the bathrooms aswell but I really liked the espresso ligna. When do you have your appointment selections? ALSO to have the lines running horizontal it was going to cost an extra $800+ which was ridiculous over priced so we are going the vertical can not justify of paying that much just to have the lines running that way. Thanks guys I don't know what is modern but we are laying our 200x600 tiles vertically as our feature tile we chose is also that size and will be run vertically so we thought it would look better that way. I think above the basins and bath the tiles will be cut to a certain height anyway... Nice choice shuffled hunter 😊 You are right, it's such a personal choice. And can also be difficult! I think we are getting somewhere though. Getting more of an idea what we want where after looking online and in more display homes. Our selection appt isn't til 17 April thankfully. Especially after we thought we knew what we wanted in terms of kitchen and bathrooms and then we didn't. Lol Have had a few visits already to di Lorenzo with a few more planned I dare say. Having had your selections already, is there anything that popped up during those appointments that you didn't think of previously?
