Does EB do the concrete after, if they supply it at all? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10683Jul 07, 2014 11:42 am Whoever is doing your driveway will do the porch. Maybe? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10684Jul 07, 2014 11:44 am Mystro. It was explained to us that the porch is done with the driveway. Eden brae aren't doing our driveway so we will have to do the porch after handover. Does EB do the concrete after, if they supply it at all? Porch is not included by EB.. you have to ask for it.. either through your CSA to get it part of your slab or through outback to get it done during driveway.. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10687Jul 07, 2014 6:49 pm Hi mystro, I asked EB if I could have my porch (& alfresco) tiled instead of having the porch paved along with the driveway, & they have now included the porch in the slab design..I think I remember they said that it was usually paved Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10688Jul 07, 2014 6:52 pm Thanks PixiGT. The plans say there is a porch so I expect it to be done and I will raise this a later stage. I just want them to build it now. If I declined a driveway it should delete the porch as well I believe that is nonsense Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10689Jul 07, 2014 11:08 pm Hey everyone, For anyone building a livingstone 23 or house that has an alfresco area with 2 sliding doors (both ends joining up to the corner when closed), just wanting your opinions on possibly getting a column put in which is free of charge. But for the alfresco and house to be an open plan it will cost $9000 without the column. We are thinking that we love the open space but is extremely costly. Is there anyone else having/had the same dilemma? Is there anyone else having/had the same dilemma? we thought about it, but the column wasn't a big issue since it still had an open feel.. A cheaper alternative would be to get the stacker height raised, so they appear bigger/more open.. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10691Jul 08, 2014 8:30 am PCI Friday! I can hear the excitement in your voice How come your appliances have already been installed? Ours didn't get put in until right before our presettlement inspection so that we could test them out before handover. We didn't even have our hot water system in at the time of PCI. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10694Jul 08, 2014 11:21 am I guess every SS has their own way of doing things. But the upside of getting appliances as late as possible is that there is less chance that they will go missing. We have Taubmans Endure in the tender. Does anyone know which is the better paint? I had a look at the website and it looks like Endure is the better one to go for. Just thought I would check with the experts here before I ask them to put it back in. This admin process is so painful. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10697Jul 08, 2014 1:00 pm Endure, definately get endure. We got short changed when we went through. Was supposed to get Endure as part of an upgrade package, but it was written down as Living Proof on our colours sheet (and not picked up by us). Nothing we could do about that. Get yours changed back to endure... I thought that was the case and wanted confirmation I was wanting the right paint! The other thing I have noticed changed in our most recent colours sheet is our shower frames have gone from semi frameless to overlap. Does anyone know the difference here? Is there anyone else having/had the same dilemma? You mean something like this: http://nsw.clarendon.com.au/homes/detai ... rettyPhoto[gallery]/0/ (As visible in Family room and Kitchen Meals pics Our tender from Clarendon lists the price for corner stacker as $4687. But I also know some areas where EB charge less. For eg. if you stagger your side wall and this leads to a new ridgeline in the roof, EB charge $1200 per ridgeline whereas Clarendon charge $1600. If you make some variations, do EB provide detailed costings as part of Tender or do you have to ask for them separately ? Yeah not sure, I was expecting that too. Instantaneous gas hot water is in, oven, ducted air, TV antenna. Everything is in. I built with EB back on 2009.
