With the aircon, I spoke to Actron directly before including it in the tender...and I was told I can get an upgraded model for 11k (ESP Plus instead of the Classic) if I get it done post handover. EBH were offering Classic for the same price. I'm staying with my in-laws at the moment, so another 4-5 days of installing the aircon wont hurt at all. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10743Jul 14, 2014 2:19 pm Does anyone have a cost to upgrade the following items: a) 600mm oven to a 900mm oven (either Venini or Baumatic brand) b) upgrade the 900mm range hood (standard) to a curved designed rangehood 900mm (Baumatic) Big help as we're nutting through budgets to work out what we can and can't afford prior to our Colour Selection Appointment in August. Thanks in advance! Thanks in advance! It's not a whole lot.. we upgraded from the 900mm free standing to separate 900mm glass gas cooktop and 900mm oven.. can't remember exact figure but we were pleasantly surprised. The rangehood upgrade may only be $200 or so.. or even just a step side wards Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10745Jul 14, 2014 3:37 pm Costed us around $1100 to upgrade from 600mm Venini to a 900mm Baumatic freestanding . Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10746Jul 14, 2014 9:22 pm Ok, that's not too bad. We are planing a 900mm wall oven. I'll just allocate $1000 to cover both items off. Thank you kindly. I am pretty excited as it means we are just that bit closer to work starting. Had no idea it would be happening this week and only found out as at school pickup someone who lives in my street mentioned she saw activity at our block today. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10748Jul 16, 2014 12:25 pm Not long to go now@ Kim_kdr. Exciting time indeed. You should be into construction pretty soon. In our case, the slab was poured within 10 days of the peg out. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10749Jul 18, 2014 1:28 pm 1sttimebuilding2012 Hi eve22, are you in the Rosella release of Gregoryhills, I think I have a EB home next to me. Hi 1sttimebuilding2012 Sorry for the lag, we are in the Corella Release in Rosella Crt a bit confusing lol We finally have the CDC approval and our final plans are being drawn now Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10750Jul 25, 2014 10:11 am For those who are new to building and need help choosing external colours (bricks, roof, gutters, downpipes, eaves etc.) this website is a great tool; http://www.colourtouch.com.au/ Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10752Jul 28, 2014 9:08 am Hi Jahangir, Ours is 160mm step down to the alfresco, I'm unsure if there is a step down to the portico? I'll have to look into this also... Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10753Jul 28, 2014 11:13 am We have 160 mm step down to alfresco areas. Our front portico is a bit different as we paid to have it poured with our slab. It is written down as 86 mm step down in our contract, but not shown on our plans. Slab – 31 Oct 2012 Frame - 15 Nov 2012 Bricks – 26 Nov 2012 Roof - 14 Jan 2013 Lock Up- 11 Feb 2013 PCI- 23rd May 2013 Settlement - 7th June 2013 Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10755Aug 09, 2014 6:03 am I have requested the porch be poured with the slab so I can lay tiles (along with tiles on the alfresco), however I'm not sure what step down is currently planned. Just wondered what the purpose behind getting a different step down height would be..? (86mm vs 160mm). Thanks By the way, I had a building inspector tell me that Eden Brae are the best he sees in terms of their construction & finish quality when compared to all the other home construction companies - very nice to hear! Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10756Aug 11, 2014 3:12 pm Hi Does anyone have any prices for lapped and capped fencing for south west sydney ? with treated pine retaining walls ? I am getting a wide variation of prices from $60 l/m to $78 l/m Also we noticed that a small chunk has been taken out of the top of the slab near the kitchen, slab is indented by dragging something is appears. Is this something that we not worry about or should point out ? Thanks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10757Aug 11, 2014 3:42 pm Hi All, Ive just signed up to build with EB and paid my $750, We went through and did starting point figure. The thing which I have a question on is the landscaping plan, which the Sales rep would be $800. If they are not doing the landscaping, why are they charging me for this? Thanks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10758Aug 11, 2014 3:49 pm paulm29 Hi All, Ive just signed up to build with EB and paid my $750, We went through and did starting point figure. Thanks It's for the plan itself.. they need to plan in order to submit it for developer approval.. Do it yourself or pay someone else to it for cheaper Peeps here have used Captivate Landscape Design.. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10759Aug 11, 2014 3:57 pm @ssjmark. Thankyou very much for the prompt reply. I will look into this. The wife and I are very excited at the moment but trying to stay focus as we do not want to blow the budget and be disappointed. So its a good thin, Ive been going through the 'Building with EB' thread, just to get a heads up on things. Where are you building and which house design? We are in a very frustrating wait for construction to commence. Hopefully by the end of this month we will start to see some activity on site. I built with EB back on 2009.
