We are building the Livingstone 20 and have noticed that in the display home of the ensuite shower door it opens out and if you let it go, it hits the vanity pretty hard.
I brought this up with our tender presenter at our building contract signing and asked if its a design flaw as they've put a shower into too small an ensuite for it to open properly.
She made a note to ask about a sliding door option for the shower so that when we went to that appointment we could ask.
I don't feel that this should cost us anything as we wouldn't be "upgrading" we're simply asking for a shower screen door that functions without possibly smashing it down the track by accidentally letting go or pushing the door open into the vanity.
The other option which we chose against, would be to extend the ensuite out under the eaves and turn the shower sideways, but for an $800 extension we felt that we shouldn't bare the cost of as its a design issue
Hi bugbos,
You can only change the shower door/plans in your tender prior to signing off as eden brae send all changes to your plan off to get drawn up by the builder then when you have your HOG, kitchen culture and tile appointment they have the plans at the appointment. If you change and floor plans after contract signing eden brae will charge you x amount of $ as your plans have been sent off to be drawn up.
We also noticed the shower screen in the ensuite hitted the vanity in the livingstone when we were first looking also.
This is how we done it so we weren't charged any extra. We didn't enclose our ensuite shower frame as on the plan we got it to only go half way as we wanted it to be a feature and to be different if this makes sense.
Good luck!!
