Pics are amazing! It's a partnership with Eden Brae. It all depends on availability. They don't have enough cameras for every build. I'm building in Newcastle so it's not as demanding as Sydney, so i have it. It cost me nothing. Upgrade costs add up quickly and you don't want to have nothing left for day 2 Thanks BelgianBuilder, appreciate your help. I'm going there without my wallet, not that it helps she don't go anywhere without her purse lol. Thinking about raising alfresco slab to make it flush, still debating on skylight Hi Swiftsport, You may want to consider recessed sliding/stacking doors in case of making alfresco flush... We halved our step-down to the alfresco and asked for recessed sliding doors, but did it at contract phase and got it free of charge... Recessed stackers are def the way with a flush alfresco slab. I had this raised as a PCV for $380 Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13186Nov 20, 2015 6:01 pm Got through HOG first few round unscathed. Last round KITCHEN the money making round we ended up arguing. Initially we said we would go in and out of this section without any upgrades what so ever. End result was bill of $11000 which I thought was crazy. We initially paid $3500 for pantry kitchen but found out pantry has been shorten 40cm or so from display house. Yes my fault for not paying attention to floor plans so tried every which way to move things around walls fridge space etc and add few cupboards here there to fill in gaps and end result above. My question is it possible to get all this done outside using same materials for a fraction of cost? Cheers guys. Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13187Nov 20, 2015 6:02 pm Anyone with livings 23 end up getting pantry kitchen to actually fit. Don't know why that was an option in first place if it won't fit in. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13188Nov 20, 2015 6:09 pm swiftsport Got through HOG first few round unscathed. My home and land package came with some basic kitchen upgrades and happy to leave for now but ran into issues since gain extra height in ceiling due to house step down of close to 18cm which has left rangehood kitchen cupboard so far down from ceiling which she said would look so funny which she wanted to extend cupboard height and put in bulkhead is where $$$ becoming issues. I gain extra height in ceiling which bonus but gain extra headache with pantry and kitchen height . Anybody with completed Livingstone 23mk3 able to lend a viewing of their house would be appreciated greatly as looking at display house is pointless thanks. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13190Nov 22, 2015 7:26 pm Hi All, Advise please Should I seal the space above cupboards and choose plaster board behind range hood or seal space above cupboards and get splash glass behind. Worried about gap and fall between splash glass and plasterboard Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13191Nov 22, 2015 8:37 pm Desibloke Hi All, Advise please Should I seal the space above cupboards and choose plaster board behind range hood or seal space above cupboards and get splash glass behind. Worried about gap and fall between splash glass and plasterboard hi, for visual effect you should take it. however, there are lots of bits and pieces you would think it's well worth the money. they will add up at the end Eden Brae Marina 42 11/5/15. Sealing is appealing but not able to make decision about plaster board or glass. I am doing glass post handover with galaxy glass and he is charging 50% what EBH is charging. Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13193Nov 27, 2015 6:29 am Hi All, EBH advised if they obtain Basix cert Read as Client to Install AC post handover, they are saying I may not get interim occupancy certificate, until I install AC. Is that right ? Is that right ? Hi Desibloke, you may get an IOC, but you won't get your final OC, & you will have a set time limit on how long you can take to get the AC completed. You will need to pay for the FOC if you get an IOC, because only 1 OC inspection is included. Tender Accepted Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13196Nov 27, 2015 7:57 am IOC can be issued without Aircon being installed. But as Pixi mentioned, you'd have to pay for final OC later. That's what happened to me, I got IOC for free and then got Aircon installed post handover. Had to pay FOC fee that was around ~$400 in my council. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13197Nov 27, 2015 10:58 am Thanks All Kellyville75 I have sent PM, as I need further clarification. EBH customer service personnel advised if BASIX say AC to be installed post handover then IOC will not be issued until I install AC and so they will not final receive payment from my Bank until I get IOC. I am confused to what is the option here Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13198Nov 27, 2015 11:15 am Have responded to your PM desibloke. The CSA is correct in saying that. However if you request for an amended BASIX approval without aircon mentioned...then there will be no issues. You may be asked to pay for the amended BASIX approval, which is around $250. In my case, I wasnt getting aircon as a part of the promotion...and it was a substantial saving for me to get the aircon done post handover. I got an ESP Plus platinum with 6 zones installed post handover...which was still cheaper than what EBH was offering me for an ESP Classic unit with 2 zones. Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13199Nov 27, 2015 3:11 pm Hi Kellyville 75, Thanks for your advise and time I am going for Daikin premium inverter with wifi operated 3 phase 5 zone AC with 10 vents for $11500. The supplier(s) said that is the top I the range in Daikin and he also said will give you discount when we r finalising it. The basic one with 3 zones and just 12KW EBH quoted $11614 Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13200Nov 27, 2015 3:26 pm Sounds like a good deal. Mine costed around the same for 17.7kw unit. The reason I went with Actron ESP Platinum Plus was because of the variable fan technology and it's ability to operate at 10-100% capacity, which equates to significant power savings. However Daikin Premium inverter is really efficient as well. I built with EB back on 2009.
