Currently waiting for our land to register, was supposed to happen in September but here we are still waiting (shouldn't be long now, waiting for plans to come out of council). Anyway, we are building the Lawson24 and looking forward to getting started! Couple of things: - Nik865, we have picked a plain grey tile for our floors from the standard range, haven't figured out the whole posting photos thing but I'm working on it! There was another grey tile that had a kind of reddish streak in it too. - We have picked the Vanilla brick from the standard range but I have noticed it is not in the new PGH brochure? Does anyone know if it is discontinued? Thanks and any other Lawson builders/blogs, let me know! We are building the Sheffield, our land was already registered when we purchased it luckily so we don't have to wait I feel for all you home builders who do have to wait have heard some can take ages hopefully it doesn't take too long for you we all just want the building to begin once we have purchased our land!!!! For the Vanilla bricks I'm pretty sure PGH have discounted them we have been out there a few times just give them a call and they should be able to tell you if they are or they aren't better to find out now rather than later so it gives you a chance to select another brick. Cheers Building the Sheffield 25 + 2 sq Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11043Jan 14, 2015 10:43 am Hi All, I was just reading about Abbey blinds. I understand they will match cheaper prices OR come near it. I have my appointments next month, Just say if I was to put it off to get a good price, will they install during build?? So before we move in? Can this be part of the tender price? I assume since it is cheaper then its not going through EB. I assume since it is cheaper then its not going through EB. We just got the email again from abbey offering the discount as we are at the stage they can go in and check measure. They have said they can have the blinds in ready for handover even though the agreement with them wouldn't be via EB. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11046Jan 14, 2015 11:01 am Handover in March all going well. Our kitchen and vanities get installed tomorrow and bathroom tiling starts on Friday. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11047Jan 14, 2015 11:16 am Hi Gents and Ladies, Thanks for the information. After knowing that Abbey's quote was fair, we are tempted to just go with them but due to our budget we could not afford to take it all up now even when we were offered a 5% discounts. As we have yet to finish our colour selection, we are anticipating that our Variation will cost us an arm and leg. Thanks for the heads-up with Cooks Plumbing. Luckily, we have some time to look around for other toilet & bathroom accessories plus the prices are available online. So we are pretty set with what we want. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11049Jan 14, 2015 6:48 pm Does anybody else here have issues when dealing with eden brae's accountant? When it comes to demanding payments they dont skip a beat but when I asked for updated invoices I don't hear from her for about 3-4 weeks. Didn't think much of it, as I assumed they would've had 2 weeks off during the holidays. Then I get a rude call questioning me why I haven't paid my internal linings and that they are going to stop the job. It might just be me but I like knowing that each staged has been paid in full before I move onto the next set of payments. All could have been avoided if they had responded to my request on time. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11050Jan 16, 2015 4:37 pm Hi, can some one recommend a electrical company which can do tiger tile for electrical wires out side of your house. It is for safety reasons. These overhead wires need to be wrapped with yellow and black taps for people to see. Masterton asked for $1600. It is too expensive. How much have you spent on it? We are at inner west sydney. I didn't get a chance to enquire with the sales reps as they were all busy so I thought I'd try my luck with fellow H1ers Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ . Hi Canucks23, I haven't had any problems with EBH accountant to date, & I only have two payments to go on my build. Usually, I work closely with my SS to ensure the build is on track, then once it gets to a stage that there will be an invoice coming, I ensure the payment will be processed on time (the previous invoice has the amount that will be due shown on it somewhere, as all stage invoices list the entire build's worth of costs broken down into all the stages - the difference is only which stage needs to be paid). I usually receive that new invoice via email, & I send my cheque the next day. I have phoned up with a stage payment enquiry in the past, & I was spoken to politely, & invited to call back if I had any other questions. I am a cash client, so I don't have any hold ups due to bank verification or other processing requirements (besides the personal cheque that EBH has to bank & wait for usual clearance). When I post the cheques for each stage, I also send an email to my admin officer to request confirmation it has been received & the payment has been processed - I usually get a reply confirmation within a week. Good luck continuing with your build Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11054Jan 17, 2015 9:19 am ASH Jordan Springs Hey guys, I'm wanting to see if anyone has any information on what these bricks may be (in case anyone has previously enquired) they're from the jasper 31 at home world kellyville nsw. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11055Jan 17, 2015 10:56 am I imagine those bricks are from the PGH range? Although sorry no help on which one. I would call the sales office during the week and ask them. We also have not had any issues with the accounts team I have called to get an updated statement once when our invoices came through quickly and the 2nd didn't show the 1st as paid yet. The funds had cleared when I rang so they reissued the 2nd invoice showing the 1st as paid no problem. I drove past our house today and it looks like all our doors are in and the water tank is also in. Our kitchen should have been installed so looking forward to a site visit on Tuesday to check out inside. One concern is our door has clear glass where we had translucent specified. Hopefully an easy fix though. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11056Jan 17, 2015 11:03 am Thanks guys for the help ️ much appreciated! I'll check out the bowral and pgh range, otherwise I'll check it with the sales office Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11057Jan 17, 2015 5:45 pm Hey guys, a bit off topic, but was hoping to get some feedback on Oran Park public school. I know it has just completed a year, but wondering if anybody in this forum who are sending their kids to the school? And if yes, how has the experience been? This is a 'H' range brick and is quite a costly upgrade FYI. I don't know the exact cost but it'd range between 3.5k-6k. http://www.pghbricks.com.au/Bricks/Show_230.aspx All the best,.
