I am currently opting to change the door to a pivot door which cannot have an additional door so I will see the cost difference. Well that will definately make for an interesting front door and get around the issue of the screen for the front and a nice little topic starter as well Hopefully you don't have a heart attack when you see the door charge. At $800 for a hinged door, wonder what the pivot will cost.... Just wanted to know if there's any recommended company that you've used. Thanks. Do you mean for cockcraches etc? Or termites? We bombed our own house and sprayed the outside with mortein. I didn't think that we needed termite inspection due to H2 termite treated pine frames. Can someone confirm if we still need termite inspection? I think you may have signed something agreeing to annual inspections. They made us sign it even though we have a steel frame, because they had no policy in place for the differences brought about by steel. I had forgotten about that agreement. Well, I'll have to ring around to some places then. I have my tiling done with EBH, however I do know that EBH's skirting board goes all the way to the slab. Which mean it shouldn't be a problem if you want to do it by yourself. There is a section in my contract about termite treatment agreement that says the owner should obtain annual timber pest inspection to keep the product warranty. You may want to double check with yours, but I'm guessing this is part of EBH's standard contract. I mean i am quite frustrated at the moment with them. My client manager takes a day at minimum to respond to an email and she never answers her phone. EB have never been proactive what so ever until a payment is due and i havent even started construction yet, my build has been pushed out. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, what have you done. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10474May 07, 2014 7:03 pm Email has always been the best method, most emails were answered within the same day Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 10475May 08, 2014 10:27 am Baulkham Hills, just to let you know that my bricks are in the middle of getting fixed right now. Cheers / I think Kerith mentioned that she emailed her CSO (with the piccies), who then forwarded the email onto our maintenance manager (you will have same one as CodyD I think?), who then sent email to Tony to start things off. If you are up to the painting stage or pci, check your paint tins to make sure you got what you paid for. Feels like we are packing up, ready to move again. All last night we were cramming items into our robes and garage like we were playing tetris! Something else to check is your nbn/hills home hub. Make sure the electrician doesnt put in a cheap version. We have had the ebh electricians out at least six times so far. We have been in the house almost five months. Our waterfall edge has cracked at the join and all but fallen away. We mentioned this to maintenance a month ago but have not heard back. We have followed up a couple of times and still nothing. Probably yet another day we will have to take off work. But overall, very happy with the home! I built with EB back on 2009.
