I will post this question to the SS in coming week but always better to know it from fellow builders. ----------------- Eden Brae Cremorne Blog : http://newhouse.gores.com.au Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13982Nov 06, 2016 3:22 pm Miffy dreamh0me We are hoping to build the Eden Brae Waldorf 42 with an April build. We are going to our first tender appointment on the 16 November. What decisions should we make before then? What can we expect in the meeting? Waldorf is a beautiful house. Have you made any changes to it? Just go through the floor plan many times. Think of Window size, any extension or any must have in your list. Make a wishlist and take it with you for the meeting. Our tender presenter was calm, understanding, polite and very experienced professional. Miffy And ask any questions- even if you think they might be silly or even if it is something you assume the builder will do. Don't assume anything and ask everything. Couple of others to consider off the top of my head, wardrobe sizes and doors on them (I.e we realised too late how small the wardrobes are in two of the bedrooms. We got mirrored wardrobe sliding doors). Think carefully about when your land is due to register and whether you'll be out of pocket if there is a gap between when land registers and when ebh will start. Give as much of a buffer as you can to allow for delays. And if you do want to make any structural changes tender is the time to do it. Good luck Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13983Nov 06, 2016 8:00 pm Lincoln35- our stairs are good. I did get some bubbling carpet fixed on the stairs that I raised during our maintenance appointment. I think part of my frustration with the dishwasher was we had a really good one previously and I miss that! The oven I find it silly that it only shows the temperature gauge every 50. All up we have been very happy and had minimal issues. Our biggest problem is with our bench top which has been getting lots of chips in it. It's getting replaced though so all good there. Good that your benchtop is getting replaced. Yes, the oven temperature is annoying! Pretty sure I cook on 250 all the time so that the food cooks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13987Nov 07, 2016 7:49 pm The 900mm venini oven with gas cooktop Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13988Nov 08, 2016 3:44 pm Does anyone know if Eden Brae temporarily close operations during the christmas and new year season? Thanks Steven Last year there was a big huge hole at the same spot and they digged the ground and found broken drainage pipe which was connected to the pit i have in the backyard. Well EBH fixed the issue but it's early last year i am talking about and now it's started happening again but this time there is no big hole but this time its going underneath the slab. Please let me know how u go with your supervisor. Thanks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13996Nov 14, 2016 5:05 pm For those who have done defect period, how long was your list? Our cso has said because we have a long list that a maintenance supervisor would come out. I don't mind that, just wondering what they'd consider a long list. We have a two storey and whilst I was comprehensive, I wasn't pedantic. I thought the maintenance inspection was always done by the maintenance supervisor?? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13998Nov 14, 2016 5:14 pm Well that's what I thought lol. That's why I was surprised when she'd made it sound like because we have a long list that someone will come out.
