Are you going to be tiling your alfresco? Recommend you to definitely. Scaffolding came down today and the site has been left open since 9am this morning with the scaf stacked up on our driveway and the gate wide open. Not impressed, especially when EB make such a big deal about site security and safety – telling us that we can't go onsite without our supervisor etc. I get that, but right now anyone can walk in and do whatever they please! Well... there could be several reasons. Firstly they are awaiting for the scaffolding company to come and collect the scaffolding from your driving and secondly because tradesmen will be working on your property (since it’s a Friday) In addition if you believe it is a concern, have you contacted your site supervisor. Our entrance door jamb has been installed recently and Im not quite impressed with the quality of the timber. Also I do not think its a clear stain (looks like rose wood or somerhing). Could you guys tell me if it is normal EBH quality door Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Many thanks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 15051Mar 04, 2018 8:49 am Hi everyone,
We received an email from our CSA stating that now that they've had access to our land they will have to provide a 514mm step down to Single Storey double garage floor level due to driveway gradient/council requirements. As there is a slope on our land. In our PCV it states that "no internal garage access has and or landings has been allowed." When we queried this our CSA stated that they "have not yet charged us for the steps required in the Double Garage – this will be raised during the DA check stage and they will cost an additional $954.00." I was wondering why this isn't included in the fixed price contract and we have to pay for it? Has this happened to anyone else? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 15052Mar 04, 2018 9:58 am Happened to me. $1,900. They asked me to do it myself after handover; if not charge me this amount. If I'm you, I'll look at the tender first and if it's all clear, quote it's a fixed price contract and ask them to consume the charge. Worth noting that they're consuming the charge for one of my friends currently building. Nowadays, they're doing this wooden steps in the garage and not charging clients. Have a chat with your CSA about the wooden steps. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 15054Mar 04, 2018 12:04 pm voz Happened to me. $1,900. This is what's outlined in our tender regarding fixed costs, not sure if this entitles us to having Eden Brae cover the cost for the steps. But will speak to our CSA about the wooden steps. It is not mentioned any where in the contract. It just says garge doesnt not include insulation. Please let me know. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 15059Mar 05, 2018 11:06 am Thanks guys for the info. But I saw that all the builders are giving plastered garage walls as standard. How come EBH still does it the old way? Did some one tried to change it to pastered walls? How much did it cost? I guess its too late for me now (as we are now post frames stage) but what are the options to get plastered walls? Can I do rendering over the walls? etc. A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor. This form part of every DA requirement 3 179741 I’m curious about how you went with this.
