We are in our last week where we can make changes before everything is set in stone. We have 40mm Torrone stone for our island bench, I desperately want to add the waterfall edges but they are $1083 a side. We have already spent $800 on the torrone colour upgrade and $1214 to upgrade to 40mm for the island. Do you think it is worth spending the extra for waterfall edges? Personally I would stick with 20mm stone and out that money towards your waterfall edge. From what I've read with 40mm all it is as stone doesn't come in 40mm thickness is 2 lots of 20mm benchtop stuck on top of each other Hey Bugbos, That is such a great idea! Yes I would much rather have the waterfall with thinner stone than no waterfall at all.. Did you go with waterfall for your kitchen? We are considering going with Abbey for blinds aswell.. Did you go with them? Hi no problem, No we haven't had our appointments yet, ours are going to be towards the end of the year as our land wont be registered until the first quarter next year. I have just gained a lot of info from reading this read, we have gotten 2 outside quotes for blinds to be done after handover if we choose, but we will take those quotes to our appointments and compare/ ask to price match so that we can get it done during the build. Finally have gone through the admin phase and have moved into construction. @Veniechada: At contract signing you should ensure that your chance to get any freebies is still available. If you haven't received any incentive to build with Eb during tender signing stage. Now's your time! to ask for a discount/freebie of some sort. All the best! @Kehzu Marina 42 is a beautiful design! My in laws are thinking of doing the same in their bathroom (powder room with added shower) and today at di Lorenzo the lady said it could cost approx $1500 Hi Lincoln35_mckinley, I just paid for the additional tiles/laying as they were all from the standard range. I can't remember how much it cost exactly, however I think it was roughly 9-10K for my tiling upgrades for all the house tiling, including the extra cleaning trips (extensively discussed in this post previously ). The big expense was coloured grouting as I really don't like the standard! That was well into the thousands alone, & the majority of the cost mentioned here.
