With standard ceiling heights. Increases to wardrobe depths to 600mm could only occur in beds 2 and 4. Bed 3 couldn't change as a result of the bathroom, however it was 550mm. No cost. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11807Apr 27, 2015 5:40 pm Does anyone know what extra charges Eden Brae would add on with a fire report of BAL 12.5? We are in the Newcastle area, does it differ from area to area or does the rating of 12.5 not change? What do they have to do to the house to comply with a 12.5 rating? Thanks Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11808Apr 28, 2015 2:05 pm Hi Guys, I just received the Tiling PCV report and theyve charged us for call back to clean my main flooring tiles (porcelain 600x600) @700.00 and also 5 wet areas that I am getting floor to ceiling tiles @1000.00. I have seen this topic somewhere in this forum but cannot locate, did anyone successfully challenge EBH to this? My tiling friend has told me that this is totally BS and the tilers should clean up after and it is part of the job. My tiling friend has told me that this is totally BS and the tilers should clean up after and it is part of the job. I don't know what's 'normal' in the building trade but I agree it's BS! Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11814Apr 28, 2015 4:57 pm In our T&Cs with Di Lorenzo that we sign, it says the tilers do not clean after they are done and the cleaners are arranged by the builders (this is the way EBH can add on extra for themselves). I question how they calculate the cleaning cost/rate and also other charges, Ill wait for their reply. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11815Apr 28, 2015 5:56 pm I paid for cleaning of tiles, and return cleaning of tiles after the plasterers installed the cornices post-installation of floor to ceiling tiles. Can't remember how much...but I'm sure it wasn't as much as your post above paulm29 This was back in early 2014 (stage 1B H&L at Willowdale). You would think that should be part of the job, you make a mess doing a job, you clean it up Even if Eden Brae used their own cleaners to clean the tiles down for post handover, that SHOULD be part of what you pay for. You don't pay for a house to be built and then pay to get that new house cleaned Don't the brickies clean down the bricks after they do their job, or do we pay for that too? Has anyone ever disputed this and got a win or a logical explanation? I had a discussion with a sales lady at Dilorenzo and questioned why and how they charge extra for laying a bigger tile. She said, they have to take more care with it and it takes longer. I said it's still a tile so the same care should be taken regardless, she agreed and said that's just what they charge Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11819Apr 28, 2015 7:27 pm paulm29 Hi Guys, I just received the Tiling PCV report and theyve charged us for call back to clean my main flooring tiles (porcelain 600x600) @700.00 and also 5 wet areas that I am getting floor to ceiling tiles @1000.00. That was me, they charge me $705 for additional house clean due to porcelain tiling (60x60) option, I did question them, they replied, 'the charges for these have been checked and are correct'. They also charge me for additional house clean for wet areas $270, so in total, they're charging me around $900+ just for additional cleaning. For additional plasterers to fit cornice to wet areas (full height tiling) is $384 Prices are correct and recent Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 11820Apr 28, 2015 7:29 pm Newport38 paulm29 Hi Guys, I just received the Tiling PCV report and theyve charged us for call back to clean my main flooring tiles (porcelain 600x600) @700.00 and also 5 wet areas that I am getting floor to ceiling tiles @1000.00.
