Our outside camera has gone as well but I never thought about checking to see if there is one inside. Bax27, What part of the house did they put up your camera? Our camera is in the back room looking at the kitchen - we were told this was standard practice to have one on the inside but we thought they were leaving one outside too!!! I wave every time we go in but I think we will be locked out from this week. Before I mention bricks, I want to thank Peta from Cooks Plumbing for looking into replacement taps for us. We thank her for her time and effort into looking into this issue. She has been patient and understanding and we really appreciate her help (even though we could not agree on a replacement tap). Thanks Peta! With regards to the underside of our bricks, I was able to talk to the brickie who will come to do the work for us. He told me that he will mortar the underside of our bricks to cover holes and then smooth the surface out to make it look square. Then he will paint the mortar the colour of our bricks (PGH Vino). As long as the mortar is smoothed out and doesn't look lumpy then we are happy with this suggestion. Initially I didn't want the underside of our bricks to be painted because of how ugly the study window had been left after our painters tried to paint the bricks without smoothing out or removing the excess mortar (Yes, I know that removing mortar is not their job). I've been assured that the study window will also be fixed as well which is good. I know that this issue is only a cosmetic issue and not structural, but it was starting to grate on my nerves. So thank you to Eden Brae for taking my concerns (and my hubby's) into consideration. After settlement service has been fantastic so far. From our SS who came after settlement to help us out to management who has put into action rectification works for our bricks. I think that no matter how much a client spends on building, no matter if you build a smart living, lifestyle or prestige home and no matter if you have built once, twice or more with EBH, that Eden Brae should treat every customer with the same level of service throughout their build and with after settlement issues. If you have any concerns or complaints then let management know. Put it forward in writing in as diplomatic a way as possible. Don't be aggressive in your approach as it will only make people become defensive and less likely to want to help you. We have had no problems when making issues known to management. Even though not all outcomes have been in our favour, we do appreciate the time that management have gone through to try to resolve any problems that we have had. Best of luck to you all in building your dream homes. Our admin has been nothing but professional, N is a credit to the company. All Issues raised were managed swiftly and to an amicable agreement. I'm confident our construction will be the same. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 8774Dec 05, 2013 12:19 pm Quick update on our Alfresco door issue and dealings with SS. We finally sorted out the issue with SS. The lady at the office our CSA gave us the wrong email address for SS and therefore the communication was failing. Now that we have the correct email address we couldn't be happier. SS replies promptly and we're really happy with the quality of work. Only few minor things came up in the independent reports which were quickly fixed. Also received confirmation in writing that alfresco will be flipped over when flyscreens are put on Yesterday insulation went in apparently. Today gyprock is due to be delivered... Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 8775Dec 05, 2013 12:57 pm Muzzy that's a great news for u...i think CSA now a days handle too many files that they mixed up...it happened to me as well. its good to know finally u got something what u have requested for.... are they charging u any fees for flipping the door opening position ? But since now he mentioned that it will be done when the flyscreens are installed, I have a small hope that they won't charge...who knows we will have to wait and see. Either way we're happy since the inconvenience would have outweighed the cost. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 8779Dec 05, 2013 4:22 pm Guys just in regards to the camera, there is no standard process, All I know is that they are supposed to have you sign off te camera being there, remember the camera is feeding off your power, for me we had one installed and not made aware off its was take down once my neighbour moved in around lockup time but we now have an elbow and conduit next to my tap where I wanted to run my drain ( my electrical box is recessed) EB is refusing to remove it stating it's got live power running through it, I have PCI on Monday and I am not happy but I want them keys Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 8780Dec 05, 2013 5:47 pm Hi guys, Haven't been on the thread for sometime. I was hoping for some feedback/help/advice. For those who requested tiling to the ceiling in your bathrooms, did you have to have an awning window? We've been dropped a bomb shell today in our final PCV that we'll have to change our window from sliding to awning. I'm not a fan of awning windows. I should have clarified the reasoning further. All I know is there will be no frame, just tiles around and in the window. Any help would be great. Thanks I built with EB back on 2009.
