Plaster touch ups are getting done and then painting and carpets next week. A house clean is booked for the 20th of May. We are almost there.... Hi Baulkham Hills, does it mean that we can ask for the phone to be connected before PCI? Can anybody recommend a good tilers? I still need to do the tiling for my alfresco and portico after the handover. I remember somebody mentioned about Tiles Factory Outlet, FYI the address is: 107 Warren Road (Cumberland Hwy). Smithfield NSW 2164 -- http://www.tfo.com.au/. Been there a couple of times, their price is definitely cheaper that DiLorenzo. I'm not sure about prior to PCI, but if your meter/phone box is outside then I don't see why they couldn't just connect your phone line prior to PCI (once your site fence is down ofcourse). I would check with your SS to see if it is OK. We are getting ours connected on day of PCI. Our service provider said that they may have to go inside to check the lines. We figured that we may as well kill 2 birds with one stone by getting them in when we are there with SS. We didn't want to be in a position of moving and having no phone lines/ internet connection. Not sure about a tiler. Can the TFO recommend people for you? I would think that they would get asked this question a lot. Commencing the building works 8.1 the builder is to commence the building works within 20 days after the day that: A) the builder receives all necessary building permits and planning approvals for the building works to commence; or B) the owner satisfies all of the requirements of Clause 4, Whichever is later So does that mean after we sign the constructions plans? Or is this when the red pegs appear on our property? Apparently lol.. EBH were on site 30 business days after peg out for me, nearly two weeks late. We have now had delays with bricks, im talking weeks. Kind of makes you wonder if the Contract is worth the paper it's written on. I've always argued that the quality of my home will be poor and rushed because of their constant delays and the need to finish before Contract end date... they assure me that this wont be the case. One thing for sure I will not be signing off until im 100% happy with it, if I need patience due to their bad management of trade staff then I will most definitely be patient come settlement time Granadz ~ Building Drysdale 29+2sq http://jason4rose.blogspot.com.au/ Slab ~ 3 April Frame ~ 17 April Bricks ~ 3 June Lock up ~ 17June Linings ~ 25 June PCI ~ 11 Sept Keys ~ 27 Sept Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 4689May 10, 2013 12:22 pm Sheffield25 Kerith Sheffield25 Random thought if anyone could help. I think Cody Drysdale did this Our land was supposed to register in January/February this year but only just went to Land titles Office. We should be registered in a week or so. To extend our start date and keep our fixed prices, we have had to pay $2,250 to keep the prices the same, until end of July. (So that's $750 per month we extended beyond April 30 - drawn up as a PCV document). I think Eden Brae have said they require two months for the admin stage (argh!! lol), so if we register in the next week, we're pretty close to all done at our end, should be good to go by end of July. I really don't want to fork out another $750 to 'save money'. We could have bought a kick @ss tv for that much. (Thanks for sharing the TFO link before btw. Totally forgot to come in here after I read that post! There are a few tile outlets within about 200m, but TFO seemed to be the cheapest, for what we were after). Blog: "Race to Oran Park" - updated 25.8.2014 Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 4696May 10, 2013 3:00 pm Can someone please explain how the land registration and site start date works. For example my land registration date is 31st May and EBH site start date is 31st August. If due to any reason the land registration is delayed by 4 weeks (ie land gets registered on 30 June) will I have to pay EBH extra money to keep the price fixed? I have read other members have to pay $750 or $1000 per month to have their price fixed. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 4698May 10, 2013 3:53 pm Yes, there is a capped price option. Single storey $750, double storey more like $1250 I think. You can price fix for a maximum of 6 months. Sorry if I was not clear. My question was if my land registration date moves but falls within or prior to site commencement date, will I have to pay $1250 extra or not? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 4700May 10, 2013 4:01 pm Maybe because EB won't be able to apply to council until your land is registered.... My friend is building and her allocated start date was May but it only just came out of council, due to her land not being registered in time... I think she has paid to extend her price.
