Here is a pic of the tiles.....not sure if you can see, but there are a couple of tiles a bit lighter than the rest. It is like this throughout the house Oh well, what's done is done. Shame, the house was looking quite good now it was tiled. But not when you notice the tile differences. Very happy to have a SS that picks up any issues and arranges them to be fixed before we even noticed. I guess a bit of a delay does give us a bit more time to sell the house, so there is a bright side to it. On another note you may recall my efforts in trying to get council to remove dumped rubbish along the bush side of the road, across the steet from our house. DH noticed today that it has all been removed!!!! Finally......now some people have moved in a couple of blocks down from us, hopefully that is enough to deter any future potential dumpers We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Yes, we were thinking that too, lol........I'm sure the SS had a word about that........at least he does have a redeeming feature, he does neat work. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Very nice choice in tile colour matches perfectly with everything. I hope they get it sorted quickly. Very nice choice in tile colour matches perfectly with everything. I hope they get it sorted quickly. I think the tiler is from Di Lorenzo. I'm sure W'dom wouldn't want to pay twice so I guess Di Lorenzo would wear the cost. Then I guess Di Lorenzo would seek some compensation from the supplier as the error occurred at their end. What a headache. Such a shame as the house was looking great. I know it will again once the tiles are fixed. The tiler has done a neat job. Happy with the colour, looks good against the carpet too. Had a good chat about what is to be done. Really impressed with his attention to detail, he certainly makes sure the homes he builds under Wisdom are quality homes. Now upstairs is just about done, especially with the carpet in, it all looks lovely. Water tank External double sensor light Our bedroom with carpet. The pink on the walls are where the touch ups are, ready for painting. The painters won't be back til the tiles are fixed. Kids walk in robes with wire shelving/hanging rails Stairs with carpet A close up shot of our tile and carpet Pretty much the upstairs is all done, just need the air conditioning vents to go in and some paint touchups done. It is really looking great and now carpet is in, looks like a house! Can't wait to live there, I'm loving the house! Downstairs need the tiles fixed, painting to be finished, air con, Kitchen splashback, front stairs built, laundry landing built, driveway & path up the side of the house. I'm sure there are others things to be done which I can't think of at this stage. Just hoping when they start fixing the tiles there is no other damage done. Handover should still be mid to end of March, depending on how long the tiles fix takes. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Di Lorenzo called us today to say they have noticed that our tiles have defects. They haven't been laid yet, we have to meet our tiler onsite Monday morning to see if we are happy to accept them with the defects or go and select new tiles. Rather frustrating but we are lucky they haven't been laid yet. Re: Building the Majestic 40 - now tiles to be undone :( 416Feb 08, 2013 11:19 pm wow... ur house looks amazing. I hope the end process is fast and you are in before you realise Re: Building the Majestic 40 - now tiles to be undone :( 417Feb 09, 2013 6:53 am Aheron Place is looking awesome Onewheel! Thanks Aheron, we are very happy with it so far. I am sure it will look even better once it is finished. Do you have your plans approved yet? Em.Russ oh onewheel, it's all looking fabulous. you should be proud, you've done such a great job. love your tiles and carpet together, and the carpet looks great with the timber balustrade as well!! Thanks Em, we are happy the tiles and carpet look good together. I was a little worried about the timber with the tiles/carpet colours, but they do look good too. Once we move in we'll be on the hunt for a dining suite, so will have to try and get something that will match with everything, that will be hard. HomeAngels The house looks fantastic Onewheel. You must be very excited to have handover soon Thanks! Yes, getting very excited, I can imagine us living there now. By our calculations, if they can fix the tiles reasonably quickly and there is no extra damage from that, I think 4-6 weeks time is realistic timeframe, hopefully just before easter. retrovertigo Hi one wheel, We have run into similar issues in regards to the main floor tile for our Manhatten 35. The new tile we chose is a new range Di Lorenzo have that is part of Wisdoms range. The new tile looks great, a shame we have had a stuff up, but once that is fixed it will look great. We are really happy with the colour and you can hardy notice the grout as it blends in really well. PS_Sirocco7 wow... ur house looks amazing. I hope the end process is fast and you are in before you realise Yes, I think it will come around pretty quickly. Can't start packing yet even though I would like to (I like to be organised). Will wait til our house is sold/ exchanged contracts. Agent took photo's of our existing house yesterday, photo's look great! Amazing the camera angles the photo takes, makes the house look bigger than it really is. Always wondered why homes looked smaller than on the web after looking at open houses. Now I know why, lol . Hopefully will go on the market any day now. Very happy with the wet weather we had last week, our grass is now green! Biggest challenge will be trying to keep the house clean.......especially the kids rooms. I've given the lecture to the kids to keep their rooms clean as much as possible.....that will be a big ask, especially the teenager! We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in! Hi Onewheel, I have spoken to council who think plans should be approved by the end of next week. The standard time to start after that is 6-8 weeks?i think it's nearly time to start my own blog. Your place looks just as good as the display homes which is what wisdom say they try to achieve .sounds like your SS has been great!:) [ Re: Building the Majestic 40 - now tiles to be undone :( 420Feb 09, 2013 10:25 am Aheron Hi Onewheel, I have spoken to council who think plans should be approved by the end of next week. The standard time to start after that is 6-8 weeks?i think it's nearly time to start my own blog. Yes, I think the standard time to star after council approval is 6-8 weeks, depending if council have put in any specific requirements that need to be accounted for if not already in your plans. So looks like a April start for you? Then you might be done before Xmas. It would be great if you started a blog or a thread on H1 so I can follow your progress. Yes our SS is great, has high standards and will make sure things are fixed if he is not happy with something, Due to this , we've not really had to raise many issues because SS sorts things out before we even know about some of them or he already knows about them and we are told, yes that will be fixed. Makes the build much less stressful that things are taken care of. Hopefully that will continue til handover. We built the Wisdom Majestic 40 - moved in!
