When we signed our contracts on the 13.1.12, there is a clause which states that we have 3 months to get the plans approved, otherwise we will have to pay the current base price of the house. I have been chasing them and they haven't even put it through to be approved yet. If they take say six weeks to put the plans into CDC, and then we end up going over the 3 months are we liable for that? It just seems they have these clauses with time limits on them and then they go and take their time so we have to pay the increase. They already tried to get us to pay $2800 because we went over the 2 months to sign the contract, but they didn't even have the contract ready within the two months, otherwise we would of signed it. It's a joke! We got out of that one, but we would of walked and lost our deposit if they made us pay that, but now we have signed contracts and can't walk. Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 13Feb 12, 2012 7:17 am Of the few neighbouring houses we have at the moment 2 saw them dumping it on Wed. Unfortunately neither of them took much notice as they didn't think it was out of the ordinary. Albeit one had to move his car for the truck to get in. One said it was no more then 10mins between loads, so it had to be from our estate. I just don't understand why they picked our block, literally 200m down the road there is an open area that Landcom have been using to dump fill from the soccer grounds they are building nearby. The thing is a small mountain. If they wanted to dump it illegally that would be the place to do it, nobody would ask questions. They have dumped it so neatly across the back of our lot.. I'm starting to think someone has made a mistake and that fill was needed for another lot. Anyhow we had another discussion with the Landcom consultant yesterday and she says they will get rid of it but it will take 10 days. Not sure if this will affect us as we have been released to construction apparently. Will keep you all posted. I suppose the best thing is that even if it takes 10 days your not paying to have it removed. just trying to cheer you up dont know if its working Best of luck mate Cheers Dani PS Chose our bricks today what do you think? Has anyone had a price from Masterton on doing shadowline ceilings? And would anyone know if Masterton will put in a polyeurathene kitchen instead of the createc Im prepared to pay extra for it but no one at Masterton can give me an answer if it can be done. Hi KDLEN Hello neighbour, we are probably going to be going through this at the same time so nice to have someone to bounce off. hey with your first set of plans make sure you stay on them ours took 10 weeks and when we had our appointment to go throught them our coordinator said he couldnt understand why it had taken so long should only take a couple of weeks. We called and called but they kept putting us off. The end result is that we wont start till June and he reckons will take 8 moths to build which means a 13 month process. Our customer service manager Garry is in hospital at the moment so when he gets back we are going to ask them to speed up the process cause we were told we would be in in 12 months which is NOV 12 not FEB 13. Is there any reason you want a poly kitchen instead of a createc? Createc is much more durable product Poly chips really easily. My sister got Poly with Clarendon and its been a nightmare. Chips everywhere. Also if you want to change your kitchen design you can have a kitchen appointment for $450.
