I was expecting 7m, like where the current house is and like our next door neighbour. I will need to chase it up. As it is dawn now, I have more front yard then back yard! lol. Same with us 6.5 instead of 4.5 easy fixed dont worry Hi Dsa39, We have a similar frontage issue. Our house's current frontage is 7.5 metre. One neighbour is 7m and the other one has a silly 11.2m frontage due to a 4m porch. According to CDC, we will have 9.4m front setback! How can we convince CDC to reduce the frontage? P.S. Our council is requiring 6m frontage only. Many many thanks in advance! Re: Masterton Homes - The new thread 2.0 2496May 05, 2020 9:42 pm jayliam Hi All I'm hoping someone can help me with this query. When we signed our contracts on the 13.1.12, there is a clause which states that we have 3 months to get the plans approved, otherwise we will have to pay the current base price of the house. I have been chasing them and they haven't even put it through to be approved yet. If they take say six weeks to put the plans into CDC, and then we end up going over the 3 months are we liable for that? It just seems they have these clauses with time limits on them and then they go and take their time so we have to pay the increase. They already tried to get us to pay $2800 because we went over the 2 months to sign the contract, but they didn't even have the contract ready within the two months, otherwise we would of signed it. It's a joke! We got out of that one, but we would of walked and lost our deposit if they made us pay that, but now we have signed contracts and can't walk. they took 8 months to plan my masterton home and they charged me 5 months for going over the 3 months. they took more then 16months to build worst decision ever to build with these lieing wankers and the finish of my house decrasceful goodluck We are in the pre contract stage with Masterton Homes and conerned about the cost of hydraulics.
