Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 08, 2012 10:36 am Hi Everyone! Just wanted to get a bit of advice. We are currently in the middle of our build and at the beginning of our build when they were doing the site cut, the cut was made a little to close to the neighbours fence and the fence was bending towards our side and wasn't very secure. We agreed to the builders quote to do a retaining wall for us to fix this, we signed this in Oct last year. Up until now the retaining wall still has not been completed. We were told it would be complete before xmas and are still waiting. There has been some progress but the rain has been holding it off the last month. The council have contacted us and have threatened fines to us and we have told the builder of this but aren't getting much help, we sent an email to our SS yesterday saying we need it done and can they put up tarps or covering so they can continue work as the fence is really bad now and is undermining the neighbours land. These photos were taken by council about a month ago... Since then some work has been done but the fence is still not good.
