Re: yay - progress :) 2Feb 06, 2012 11:51 am That's great news, are you worried like I am about the sheep cows ducks guinea fowl ect. walking on the slab when it's laid? Re: yay - progress :) 3Feb 06, 2012 11:57 am haha!! yeah. i have visions of them coming back after its cured, to see all these little hoof prints think we will have to put them down the back paddocks for a month or two. Re: yay - progress :) 4Feb 06, 2012 12:04 pm my sheep are Black Sufflolk, they are way to clever, they always figure out a way to get to where they want. Re: yay - progress :) 6Feb 06, 2012 1:11 pm we have dorpers. they r buggers at times, coz they can get thru anything. have spent some days trying to round the damn things up from the neighbours property . but they are also very much creatures of habit and as soon as we go down to round them up to the top paddocks, they just start ambling up there. colours - let me just say they are truly doing my head in. we are going with cream brick[midland brick]....trying to decide between, augusta, whitecliffe or florentine. roof is colourbond - maybe going ironstone. and that is about as far as i have got. dont know if i want dark benchtops and light cupboards or vice versa. the only thing that im iffy about with the light cupboards is being on a bush block with 3 kids i can see i am going to be cleaning them down all the time. with tiles for wet areas- dont know if i want light or dark. have been to the laminex showroom and tile shops but i am having real difficulty trying to picture it all. i seriously think i need to hire an interior designer to come with me. [have tried the comp programs but the colours are just so different, and i need to see bigger samples]. then im trying to decide what we really should upgrade at pre start and what can wait until after we move in. and not knowing the prices makes it harder, coz i like to know beforehand so im not sitting there going - 'omg thats ridiculous, i'll have to drop that' - iykwim. Re: yay - progress :) 7Feb 06, 2012 3:24 pm I know what you mean about going and rounding them up from the neighbors, we nearly have every thing sheep proof now mine all have twins so the flock increases so quick, that's when they get really naughty, safety in numbers they think......so we start eating more lamb I went for dark color granite because red wine stains the lighter color and we cant have that can we. But I love the color we choose, we upgraded to the premium granite to get the color we wanted. 2 of the hardest things in my life have been No 1- choosing a high school for my boys No2- choosing the color selection for my build, it wasn't this hard last time I built. Re: yay - progress :) 8Feb 06, 2012 3:50 pm ROFL at eating lamb. thats what i swore one of our little rams was going to end up as, coz he was such an instigator at escaping. yeah, i dont remember it being this hard last time [although that was 15 years ago and we were first homebuyers] so i think we were a bit naive in what you could do and just went with whatever, plus there wasnt much of a range anyway. 8 6137 5 6812 |
