Re: "Classic" kitchen colours 42Apr 14, 2012 2:39 am Thought the pendant looked familiar so I dug out the pics from our first build in Sydney. I think its name was Cherie and the metal is polished chrome. Your pendant will look good with Excited's handles. Both my builds would be classed as modern with totally different colour schemes but the same furniture. There's no way I would throw away Tasmanian Oak less than 6 years old. Even though your build will be country oriented it's funny how we end up liking similar lighting products. I should start looking into that Re: "Classic" kitchen colours 44Apr 14, 2012 11:11 am Hi 'Grumble', Since I have some wrought iron wall decorations and candles the finish will be as seen in pic. And yes, I like your dining setting. It would blend easily into a country decor- you'd need only to change the upholstery colour...Here's a pic of my Dad's 50's-60s sideboard in my previous house, as you can see it goes with casual furniture too cos it's "good wood"... The grain is beautiful- although you can't see it there... Most of my furniture is coming with us. That's an advantage of good antiques, they are timeless. My dining table is walnut 100 years plus, and weighs a ton. Such a pity that there are more boys than girls in every clutch...! Re: "Classic" kitchen colours 45Apr 14, 2012 1:02 pm I hear you re the weight of good furniture, we also have a TV unit about 2000mm long the same material as the table & buffet and it weighs a ton. We did the last two removals ourselves and at the rental we found out our neighbour was a furniture removalist. He told us he would move us at pensioner rates so I put that cost into the budget and the boys were ecstatic. @Excited I think you are a bit harsh calling yourself strange for liking poultry. My brother once had a pet pig. My nephew went bush in their 4wd and found the suckling pig so rather than leave it there alone he took it home to rear it. It took an instant liking to my brother and followed him everywhere. They were living in the suburbs of Wollongong and when he walked up to the shops for the paper and bread it even followed him. He never put a lead on him but he was so well behaved, never ran on the road and always waited at the door of the shop and he became a local identity. People driving past would stop and say ‘Is that really a pig?’ Sadly he grew up and they cooked him for my eldest nephews 21st. Several of us couldn’t bring ourselves to eat him as we knew him too well. Hoping our Metters wood stove will do the trick for winter (with fans in reverse), and crossbreezes plus fans for summer. . . I'll have to read further back in this thread but why does the slider have to be a cavity slider? We have a passageway slider. Not cavity though. Re: "Classic" kitchen colours 48Apr 20, 2012 6:06 pm Mclaren, I'll look into the normal slider closer to the time. We've just found out that titles may not issue until March 2013 although the developer reckons he is pushing for them to come sooner. We saw how they are powering through the infrastructure at the moment, we were sooo excited to see some movement. Sad, I know, since they are just preparing the roadbase!! But when you've been waiting since 2010 the smallest step makes for excitement!! "Sigh". I will just have to curb my impatience and watch everyone else's builds!! Hey. Head to a metal and decide on which profile you will use first. Profiles with larger corrugations can greatly change the appearance of the color in different… 0 3387 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34273 |
