Your nearly there. Thanks I do love the front doors but everyone keeps saying people will see in! I don't care! Really baffled by the comment on your thread! I am happy to read peoples ups/downs/complaints you name it, that is why it is a forum. If only there was a block button Re: Our Hartley - Loving my bath! 163Oct 27, 2012 7:54 am Finally the day came when they installed the tap and bath into the ensuite, love it! http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/t485/nicjones25/IMG_1240.jpg http://i1062.photobucket.com/albums/t485/nicjones25/IMG_0040.jpg Re: Our Hartley - Finally my bath & tap installed, Love it! 164Oct 27, 2012 6:10 pm That looks fantastic. You must be so happy. Re: Our Hartley - Finally my bath & tap installed, Love it! 165Oct 27, 2012 9:26 pm Very happy with how it looks, can't wait to get the keys to move in on Friday! I have been buying sheets which is not very exciting such a waste of money and so many windows, I was reading your thread and you mentioned something about hall lighting, I would put extra lights in hall/play room ours is quite dark especially with dark walls but I will be taking the energy saving light bulbs out to just not bright even in small bedroom almost light a side lamp on Re: Our Hartley - Finally my bath & tap installed, Love it! 166Oct 27, 2012 9:43 pm Thanks I will look into it. The SS suggested we would need extra lighting in the back hall, near kids play. How exciting for you Friday ☺☺☺ We get bricks next week I've been told.. Looking forward to seeing them, even on site. Looks like u have a nice view from the bath. Still trying to find the perfect pendant saw one one here but can't seem to buy it looks like its discontinued. Did they send you an official letter stating when u can move in? Or did the SS just let you know? I think I will have to go buy some sheets as well there are so many windows and no fence.. good idea having the full length window near ensuite. Re: Our Hartley - Finally my bath & tap installed, Love it! 167Oct 27, 2012 9:52 pm Our view is more of a duck pond the other lakes are much bigger but our is more of a bird sanctuary. Every pendant I love was to expensive, hope you can have it over the bath my hubby didn't want one! No official letter the contract says a date will be given on paint completion but as didn't want to put a date on it keep saying that it is a big house, takes longer blah blah! But we had walk through with him on monday and signed practical completion form items not done we're listed. I knew he was working on the end of month but exact date not really given but should have occupancy cert mon/tue the we can arrange final payment yah! Re: Our Hartley - Heated towel rail completed, not much more 168Oct 29, 2012 2:23 pm Our heated towel ladder went in yesterday with no broken tiles thank goodness! Patients and the right tools. Looks very shiny, bit annoyed though as it will look great with 3 towels and I only brought 2 and now they have no more. I also forgot to look at the other towel rail in the bathroom, wasn't as important hopefully 4 more sleeps till key hand over, fingers crossed! Re: Our Hartley - Heated towel rail completed, not much more 170Nov 01, 2012 1:34 pm Thanks our dream home, yes 9am tomorrow we do hand over, might get the keys a bit later as won't be able to get the cheque off the bank that early. Not moving in tomorrow either, waiting till Saturday when we get the truck. Cleaners were there at lunch time doing the final clean, then I will have to get onto cleaning the tiles as they have a was coating on them and I have to get it off! At least the walked area's has worn off! Still missing the 2 whirly birds by SS onto that, only noticed today still not there. Re: Our Hartley - Heated towel rail completed, not much more 171Nov 01, 2012 2:04 pm Hopefully he gets on to that for you ASAP! Good luck. Re: Our Hartley - Heated towel rail completed, not much more 172Nov 22, 2012 2:20 pm Hey Mac, wondering how your move went and how your settling in to your beautiful home. Can't wait to see some moved in pics too. Re: Our Hartley - Heated towel rail completed, not much more 173Nov 22, 2012 2:55 pm TashnStu77 Hey Mac, wondering how your move went and how your settling in to your beautiful home. Can't wait to see some moved in pics too. Our move went well I guess, all settled in, now for concreting, curtains and gardens, so much to do. Still waiting on the Internet to get connected so no photos till then, not much to show though! Lack of furniture in this huge house Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 174Dec 16, 2012 7:07 am A few pictures, my outdoor fan went up the other day love how it spins with the breeze, a picture of my huge bedroom, just need a couple of small chairs. We have had the alfresco concreted and that came up really nice, we added a step all the way around see as though we are really high up, not sure if it is in the picture I uploaded. We have been working on the side of the house, still need more gravel due to our house height! not sure what the go is there, we are so much higher than everyone else, been a pain with the tin fence, thus my green garden edging we attached to the fence so it doesn't fill with dirt, next is decomposed granite in the yellow colour to match the windows/fence, veggie patches should then stand out. I have also attached wires to the fence to grown star jasmine, this will border each fence panel and then cross over the whole panel, very easy I must say just needs to grow now. The other half and the kids down at the water fishing, surprisingly there are big fish in water but they didn't catch any, now back to designing my yard! Merry Christmast to all! Nice view from alfresco we are at lock up can I ask you how long After lock up did it take for you to move in! Still have driveway fixtures flooring tiles cabinets to go in and We have Christmas and they will be back mid jan?? Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 176Dec 16, 2012 9:56 am Not sure exactly 2 months it dragged out a bit but others here are built in 3 odd months they are going up so fast but like ours yours is big so it might take a bit longer! We didn't include driveways so currently don't have one might be last as I would rather fencing to keep kids in and kids yard done so they can go outside Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 177Dec 16, 2012 10:10 am Yeah they are going up fast , two months sounds about right. We have a large area of fence to do also, we have a friend that's in the fencing business so that hopefully will go up before we move in I hope so many things to get. Curtains are another big item, I think I might get temporary curtains which I've seen on line they are made out of paper I think but look like roller blinds for now as I don't have enough sheets Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 178Dec 19, 2012 9:37 am Yes I had no sheets either, we had the paper blinds years ago they work well, I just brought some cheap flat sheets from spotlight but someone gave me some blockout fabric you can get seconds from spotlight so I am told, great for kids rooms they stay dark and sleep longer! Bit envious of our neighbors they moved in after us and all the concreting is done beautiful curtains installed and pool in! Maybe I should have built the 30 sq and had some leftover! Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 179Dec 19, 2012 11:14 am Lol! Yeah think it's gunna take a while for us was hoping to have a pool in next year, I'm wanting to do next Christmas if all goes smoothly throughout the year But I think I'm being a little over enthusiastic the SS said to go get the curtains measured up now I just laughed.. Think that might be something we will look at in the new year. Before hand over would be nice, but I very much doubt it Re: Our Hartley - All moved in, now the outside! 180Jan 05, 2013 7:41 am Hey Mac, now that you have been in the Hartley for weeks now I wanted to see how you are finding the layout and the design of the place? Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10923 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day.
