Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 22, 2008 12:48 pm We will be looking to put in a few retaining walls. Since they will be fairly high and will require council approval, they will have to be "engineered".
Anyone have suggestions of an engineer/engineering company that they would recommend for this? The wall will be made with timbercrete blocks so I need someone who can think a bit beyond the square. I would also appreciate an idea about costs. Re: Engineered retaining wall 2Feb 24, 2008 6:34 pm You could try:
- Structural works - O'Neill Group - Intrax Consulting Engineers I've used these guys before, but like anything please do not hold me responsible for their service timelines. All the best. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5197 Engineering timber is certainly a less fuss option, times cheaper to supply and install and better withstands humidity. 1 15924 Thanks Simon, I guess I'm no concerned with the volume of the noise rather that dead and hollow sound and feel that is associated with floating floors. But I'm not sure… 3 6163 |
